As well as you can by reading it everyday, and asking God to teach you.
Please notice that the Clergy do not encourage you to read The Bibles....The Catholic Church banned people from them until the 18th Century... Please Research why that happened...
An objective reader could certainly not consider the God of Abraham to be real...
I wouldn't really have much expectation about that at all. Some Christians know the Bible very well, and some know very little about it at all.
I’ve been reading it cover to cover for the last 16 years + and recently loaded a ‘Bible Quiz’ game on my phone...
Really embarrassing to say I averaged between 80-90% every time I played.
Then I understood why: the programmers used the KJV... using words I never read....
The message was intact, but out of context reading those words I wasn’t able to place them.
God is with you IF you are with Him.
If you love Him you won’t be able to get enough of Him, and scripture is the best way to do that. It is His love letter to us.
God wrote a book. You should read it.
If you expect to convince me to join, you better know it better than I do.
Depends on what you mean by "know" the Bible. Every Protestant denomination claims to teach from "the Bible alone", yet the teaching of each denomination contradicts the teaching of the others, which is why they are separate denominations. Jesus never told us to read the Bible, which is understandable since the Catholic Church didn't compile the Bible until three and a half centuries after Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. What He did do was found one Church, and promise that one Church that it would teach the fullness of God's truth until the end of time. That is the one source of truth Jesus left us.
Jesus instructed His Apostles to teach only what He Himself taught for 3.5 years while on earth: The Gospels of Mark(except 16:9-20) and Matthew. Genesis is good background.
Matthew 28:20. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever ( "I" ) have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Christ ASKED SIMON PETER BARJONA "FEED MY SHEEP": Peter Co- authored the Gospels of Mark(except 16:9-20) and Matthew: Teaching only the words of Eternal Life as Jesus taught.
As a Christian, you are expected to read the Bible with a Spiritual perspective. Because Jesus himself said that he's a bit choosy in , , ,
Matt 13:10-11 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?” He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.
Obeying bff Mat. 5:48 GT is what matters .
