I usually miss one or two services a year, either due to illness or snowstorms. So those are the reasons I don't go to church-when I'm ill or when it's storming.

I did not go for years because I could not find a church that did not teach tithing. Christianity has been polluted most Churches preach a phoney feel good Jesus.

read Amos 8:11....
perhaps this is why.

...don't forget the verse that follows.

here i can help with this.

Amo 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

Amo 8:12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

The bishop closed it down. He was planning to close down a more rundown, smaller one but a few millionaires from that town sent him a big check, so he closed down ours instead.

Two main reasons;  I despise the modern invention of “going to church” because of personal history of going down  40 Miles of bad road.
Also, even if I decided to go anyway, there are no like minded Anabaptists congregations in my neck of the woods.

I generally go to Church every Sunday but there is a few Sundays that I miss during the year. If I am sick, on vacation or something else comes up are usually the ONLY reasons that I miss Church! I sometimes might visit a different Church other than mine on a Sunday morning and or go to a couple different Churches on a weekend which could even be a Saturday night. I didn't used to go to Church at all but go to Church every chance that I can now! I know of good people that want to go to Church but isn't comfortable with the idea of going or haven't found a Church that they really like. For many people, they have to work on weekends and there isn't a Church that fits their time slot as there should be more Churches that have evening services for those who cant worship on Sunday mornings! I feel really bad when I miss a Sunday morning in Church because going to Church is my highlight of the week and I recommend that anyone who don't go to Church, find a Church to start going to! I really love going to Church and will go to Church multiple times a week if I am able to and the Church had additional services! There is no better feeling than singing with everyone in Church during worship!

The "church" is completely apostate. By the mid 1980's the Jesuits had infiltrated all of the denominations. I am not interested in "religion" and decided to seek God on my own...guess what...I found Him.

Joh 14:21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.

I have met Yeshua ("Jesus") a number of times over the past 25 years. He is real, He is alive, He has spoken to me, and I have spoken to Him. Each encounter was unexpected and unique. Search YouTube for "Jesus encounter" and you will see He has appeared to atheists, Jews, Muslims, etc...

John 8:23-24 Yeshua said to them, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he [the messiah, the Son of God] you will die in your sins.”

Matthew 10:37-38 [Yeshua speaking] Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

Is Yeshua the most important thing in your life? How much time do you spend with Him every day? Is He your friend?

To "take up your cross" is to deny the desires (not the needs) of the flesh and be obedient to the laws and commandments of God. As you develop a relationship with Yeshua ("Jesus") you will hear from the Holy Spirit (Dreams, Visions, Words of Knowledge, Words of Wisdom, etc...) You must be obedient to what the Holy Spirit communicates to you without hesitation. If you are asked to do something, or told not to do something, the immediate answer is "Yes Lord", worry about the details later - He will lead and guide you in accomplishing anything you are asked to do as you do it.

Spend time in prayer every day (praying out loud). Here are prayers I say every day. Modify them as you see fit for your situation and circumstances:

Spend 30 minutes or more every day reading your Bible (reading out loud). Start with Matthew and read to the end, then start at the beginning. I use the ESV, but the King James (not the "New" King James) is the most accurate translation as it is the ONLY translation that uses the Textus Receptus manuscripts.

If you are willing to set aside the things that take up most of your time (TV, movies, gaming, Facebook, Internet, etc... you know what you spend most of your time doing), and dedicate three hours every evening to the Lord, within a few months if not sooner you will see a mighty move of God in your life. Develop the following routine and stick to it consistently:

Spend the first hour praying in tongues. Praying in tongues (out loud) is probably the most important thing I have learned to do. Since I started doing this I have had numerous dreams, visions, and even encounters with Yeshua. Here is a document that will help you understand and get started:

Spend the second hour waiting on the Lord quietly. This will help you learn how:

Spend the third hour singing (out loud) praise and worship songs. These songs should mention the blood of Jesus, the cross, and/or attributes of the character and nature of God. Here are a few of my favorites (you can set it to shuffle play so they play in random order):

In addition to that I like to listen to "soaking" music at a low volume while praying, reading, or waiting on the Lord. Here is the music I use:

The reason is:

Church is a body of believers, not a building. Being a believer doesn’t change with my location. As far as the preaching, teaching, and coming together for worship; I handle that in my house. So many churches are compromising and heretical today, that we took it upon ourselves to teach our children.

Hymns are usually public domain, so the sheet music and songbooks are inexpensive.

We’re American. So, it makes sense that we are pragmatists. If institutions fail us, we do it ourselves. And, I will say that we also took our inspiration from Richard Wurmbrand. They got creative with their “birthday parties” in the woods.

The preacher has bad breath, my church pants make me itch, they uninstalled the padding on the pews, the Bibles give me paper cuts, and all the members of the choir are tone deaf.

It's easy to claim to be a Christian, much harder to live as one.

The Churches all kicked me out for telling them they have to obey all of Jesus' sayings in order to escape Hell .

I was raised a SDA and firmly believe in the 7th day Sabbath as Jesus said: "Till heaven and earth pass not a jot or a tittle shall in no way pass from the law till all be fulfilled".  but when they took a stance on the Trinity the Holy Spirit led me to scripture that prove otherwise and I could not in all honesty attend any church that believe God is a Trinity.   I try my best to keep the Sabbath at home by not doing any work on his holy day.

I've already heard all the stories, and have read the bible twice. I have a pretty good understanding that I'm a sinner, and though I don't oppose going to church, I just don't go.

BARJONA is the CHURCH Christ built on Simon Peter Barjona and Peter's descendants as was with Jacob and ISRAEL. All who are saved enters the Kingdom, not the Church. The Kingdom is more important.
