Although unable to walk,Helen is still happy.

Although (she is) unable to walk, Helen is still happy.
1. Although (she is) unable to run, Helen can walk long.
2. Although (he was) a man of the world, he was simple and direct.

although--conjunction;
Although unable to walk----------used to introduce a statement that makes main statement seem surprising---having the form of a participle phrase;The subordinating conjunction eg:-although, because, if, as , introduces a subordinate adverb clause of reason, in a subordinate position ; hence no need to add "Being"
Helen is still happy------main statement , followed the subordinate clause.
