Why do people die?

We were made to live forever but we die because of our parents Adam and Eve sin.
Disobedience Brings Death. According to the bible, God commanded Adam: “From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die.” (Genesis 2:16, 17) So eternal life for Adam and Eve was conditional; it depended upon their obedience to God.

The biblical answer (and this IS Religion & Spirituality) is that death is the "wage" of sin. That's in Romans 6:23. That's the bad news. We all sin. We all die as a consequence.

The good news is the rest of that sentence which continues, "but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Their hearts stop beating.

That happens, when their body, particularly their brain, stops functioning.

There are many reasons that can cause a body to stop functioning.

accidents or illnesses usually

Because they didn't hear the truck until it was too late.

Because when Adam sinned, he brought sickness, disease and death into this world, which fell not only upon humans, but also upon all of creation. It is the result of Adam's fall from grace when He disobeyed His Father and sinned. Flesh and blood cannot inherit eternal life i heaven (1 Corinthians 15:50, so therefore, the body has to die, and the spirit of the person then returns to God who gave it (Ecclesiastes 12:7) in order to be judged, for it is appointed unto man once to die, and after this comes the judgement.

If we have accepted Jesus as Saviour whilst we lived, we will be sent into eternal life in heaven with Jesus our Saviour. But if we have been an atheist, an unbeliever, or rejected Jesus for any reason whilst we lived, we will be judged and sent to eternal torment in the flames of Hell fire and torment.

Death occurs naturally due to the eventual inability of the body to stop regenerating tissue, the calcification of tissue, tissue injury, cellular damage due to free radicals, radiation, build-up of toxins, and a great many other things besides.

At its most basic, however, death occurs due to the cellular damage we call ageing. Eventually the organic processes of one or more organ systems fail and the human body shuts down.

Once the heart stops pumping blood the brain cells no longer receive oxygen or nutrients and they die. The cells of the body die. Life ceases.

Dying is all part of life you old silly.

The price of all sin is death and there is no sinless man or woman. Humans inherited death from our ancestors; most notably Adam and Eve. Thanks a lot.

Why, do we die? The Bible shows that one of God’s spirit creatures, later identified as the rebel Satan the Devil, tried to sabotage God’s arrangements in Eden.

Satan induced our first parents, Adam and Eve, to join him in rebellion against God.

When Satan claimed that God was withholding something good from them they went along with Satan and turned their backs on God.

The result? In time, they died, just as God had warned. They lost the prospect of living forever in Paradise on earth. Genesis 2:17; 3:1-6; 5:5

Adam and Eve’s rebellion has affected all humans down to this day.

God’s Word says: “Through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men.” Romans 5:12

We die because we inherited sin and death from our original parents, not because of some predetermined, unfathomable plan of God.

Well, when God first created us he intended for us to live forever, and Earth was to be paradise. Adam and Eve messed that up though by disobeying God.

Romans 5:12

By using lies and trickery, Satan the Devil caused Adam and Eve to disobey God. (Genesis 2:17; 3:6) As a result, they eventually died, as God had said they would if they disobeyed. (Genesis 3:17-19) Since Adam became imperfect when he sinned, all his offspring inherited sin from him. (Read Romans 5:12.) The situation might be illustrated with a pan used for baking bread. If the pan has a dent in it, what happens to each loaf of bread made in the pan? Each loaf has a dent, or an imperfection, in it. Similarly, each human has inherited a “dent” of imperfection from Adam. That is why all humans grow old and die. (Romans 3:23)

God replied

Rom 6:23a For the wages of sin is death...

Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

But wait, there's more!

Rom 6:23b ...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

It is sad but life is limited by the human bodies ability to keep regenerating all vital organs for eternity. So you die when the body can no longer support the soul that called it home.

I remember by fathers dying words which I found most poignant. He said '**** a Bus'!

The reason why people die, is because we are sinners.

The truth is that Jesus is God. Jesus loves you! Death leads to immediate heaven or hell, and it is too late to be saved, after death. The only way to heaven is by believing in Jesus. The truth is that believing in Jesus to take you to heaven apart from any of your works, is the only way to heaven. Jesus paid it all, so believe in Jesus, and you're saved. There is no chance to be saved after death. Jesus Christ is God, Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins, all sins past and future, to make all our sins forgiven, past and future, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works or deeds or religions or anything. You cannot add any works to salvation (Romans 4:5). So to be in heaven and not in eternal torment in the lake of fire, believe in Jesus Christ to take you to heaven. That easy! Tell Jesus right now that you believe in Jesus for eternal life, and you will be in heaven! Jesus loves you and wants to bless you now and throughout your life and forever!..

Because the first reference to death in the Scriptures occurs at Genesis 2:16, 17 in God’s command to the first man concerning the eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, violation of which command would result in death. However, death among animals as a natural process was evidently already in effect, since they are passed over completely in the Biblical presentation of the introduction of death into the human family. (Compare 2 Peter 2:12.) The gravity of God’s warning about the death penalty for disobedience would therefore be understandable to his human son, Adam. Certain texts are, at times, brought forth as supposed evidence that physical death was intended as a natural eventuality for humans, even as for the animals; for example, the references to man’s life span as being ‘seventy or eighty years’ (Psalm 90:10) and the apostle’s statement that “it is reserved for men to die once for all time, but after this a judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27) Nevertheless, all such texts were written after the introduction of death among mankind, and are applied to imperfect, sinful humans. The tremendous longevity of the men living prior to the Flood must at least be considered as reflecting a remarkable potential in the human body, surpassing that found in any animal even under the most ideal conditions. (Genesis 5:1-31) The Bible unmistakably relates the entrance of death into the human family to Adam’s sin, as already shown.

If someone has not sinned, then that person will die because of the original sin.

We all sin. We inherited it from our parents all the way back to Adam and Eve. That's why a baby may die, for example.

Either somebody kills us or our bodies fail us because of sickness or old age.

Because we have to make room for the coming generation. The Earth has limited capacity. It isn't growing in size and due to climate change, the usable land areas are actually slowly diminishing. So if nobody died, we would run out of places for people to live.

Because the mechanics start to wear out. There is a limit to fitting replacements. The joints start to rust up, and its goner take a bit more than an oil change to get it all working again. It can be considered a kindness to mothball the whole contraption and just let it rest.
The ageing process of everything from living beings to battleships is inevitable, and your Deities and Gods have nothing to do with it.

There is no death.

But you don't have to die: there is someone who loves you who is willing to take your place so that you will never, ever have to die.

"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." That exclusive statement by Jesus rules out all man-made efforts to get to God, and therefore, ultimately, heaven.

The way to God is a PERSON, not a religion.

Test these claims Jesus made about Himself. He is the only way into God's Kingdom: Jesus is the one and only real-life PORTAL into this spiritual dimention... a fourth dimention - His Kingdom on earth. This is why we pray 'Thy Kingdom come'.

The sacrifice is a spiritual 'black hole' for the world's sins, crimes and evil.

Any organization that makes the (ridiculous) claim "You need Jesus PLUS US to get to heaven." is not from God. Jesus is all you will ever, ever need.

"Come to me all you who are burdened and weary and I will give you rest for your souls. Take My yoke upon you; for My burden is easy, and My yoke is light."

Romans 5:12 is a great scripture to understand why people die. It says: That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned.
The one man is Adam because he was the first man to ever live. When he sinned the punishment for him was death, and because we all come from Adam we inherit that sin. On a positive note. Jehovah doesn’t want any one to die. He says so at Rev 21:3,4 where it says: God . . . will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. How death will be eliminated

People don't die, only the body dies. All biological material comes with an expiration date and is subject to decay. Energy and matter cannot be created or destroyed, only made to change form, which suggest existence is 'eternal' and 'uncaused', without "beginning" and "end". Why would life be an exception? Nearly all religious and spiritual faiths are founded on the principle that this life is meant to be prepare us for the next; whether it is another earthly incarnation or an eternal afterlife.

Cells can only copy themselves so many times before they start to fall apart, then organs fail.

Because Adam let sin into the world when he disobeyed the will of God, and obeyed the will of Satan. But from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, "You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die." All creatures including human beings cannot survive more than certain years. That's why God had made male and female to create their own kinds and keep the world filled with his creatures. All human beings are just machines or robots made of flesh and bones and toys of the spirits for their games. Spirits are separate elements. A human being is not a single spirit. A human being doesn't have a spiritual body. A human being during his/her lifetime is living with many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. They are knowledge, skills, feelings, emotions, interests and everything. Even thoughts are not your own. For example, when you want to take a decision on a subject, one after another the spirits think and you just listen, choose or reject the ideas which they transmit to your mind through your brain in the form of thoughts. Brain is just a media to connect the spirits to your mind. A mind is just a computer's mind. After the destruction of a computer completely you will not get it's mind. The same is the case with the human beings. Soul is nothing but an energy needed for the functionality of a body. It is not a spirit or anything else. All human beings are just robots made of flesh and bones and toys of the spirits for their games.
