Why Are There So Many Christian Denominations When there is only one God?

In the world there are more than 2,000 religions, what'Is that true?

Simple, if all these religions osserverebbero the word of God and put in practice there would be *ONLY* a religion among all!

Therefore, c'is one religion, and is the one who observes diligently the word of God, doing everything that God has prescribed in the Holy Bible!

Practically we must not distort the word of God to your liking, as do all religions that are outside the Christian doctrine, one religion is and remains faithful, the one who believes on the whole of the word of God and of its true meaning!

Jesus declared his Church:

Matthew 16:15-18 .
15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.


Then, c'is one Church of God, what'is the church of God??

I do not wish to say my church because they are already, for the grace of God in the *real* Church, but to believers say: Do You Want to know what'is the *real* Church?

Simple: Close key to your room and sitting/from, or in the knee, prays to God constantly for a period, so you will know what'is the Church to follow. God will not delay to give you an indication with his believers faithful, this will be a sign and a task of God, direct you toward'single *real* church that will lead you, if you wish, to the throne of God!

Most churches were started because a charismatic leader (most often a he) disagreed with church doctrine and/or didn't like that the church wouldn't change doctrine to match their views. If you read the history of almost every denomination, the story is the same.

Because either that God is an extremely poor communicator or he doesn't exist.

Because there is more than one human.

Because people are unique, and have their own views and selfish priorities. God calls us to be "one", but we as sinner like to divide ourselves up, take sides, and build barriers between ourselves. Additionally, this is not unique just to the Christian faith, but universal across the entire human race.

"...no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. There are different gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different ministries, but the same Lord.…"

They are fighting over interpretations instead of loving each other.

Because there is great confusion in the church community.

God hates divisions in his church and says so

1Co 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1Co 11:19 But, of course, there must be divisions among you so that you who have God's approval will be recognized and rewarded!

Denominations were originally dioceses & rites.
Protestants broke away after Council of Trent.

There are just some disagreements. I do have issues with a few of them. I personally wonder about infant baptism and a few church groups becoming more accepting of things of a homosexual nature. Christians should love all people, but it doesn't mean to be tolerant of sin, especially among followers of Jesus.

No one is willing to obey Mat. 5:48 ( to become as perfect as God ) ; and so pick lesser commandments , which vary from church to church .

There should be no denominations. Denominations divide, Christ unites.
There is one Word of God, The Bible. By many putting forth different interpretations of the Word,
it only adds to the confusion of people.
This is one of Satan's tricks to confuse people and keep them from the truth.

The Bible is a large book and contains many verses, many of which are contradictory. It is also subject to interpretation. Believers have narrow viewpoints and cherry pick. Two groups can have opposing ideas when each group only sees one verse and ignores all others on given subjects.

Because different people focus on different things.

IF there was a god, there would be 1 religion. 1 bible and no atheists. There are thousands of religions and the members of each one deny all of the others. Atheists deny 1 more is all. No gods exist.

Christians worship Jesus, Mary, the Saints, the Pope and the Crucifix. God's name is YHVH. Christians don't worship God. The Tanakh which is the Bible or the Old Testament is documentation of YHVH and His Angels interactions with mankind. The New Testament is a book written thousands of years AFTER the Tanakh. The New Testament is the story of a new god called Jesus.

Because of how many ways one can twist the Scriptures to fit their beliefs. Meanwhile God is up there shaking His head thinking " I just want them to be kind to one another and to obey my ten commandments!Is that too hard to ask?"

There are many manifestations of the Godhead. Faith is a purely subjective experience, therefore it is a non-issue that there are many different faiths.-"I have other sheep that are not of this fold", is how Jesus put it. From the dialectic point of view, God needs atheists too.

Because there are diverse ways to interpret his words and meanings.

Christianity has been split into over 39,500 different denominations, sects and cults setting Christian against Christian and Christians against everyone else!

God's work? Hardly!

It must be the Devil and the Antichrist working together to divide, conquer and destroy Christianity from the inside!

Because churches are all over the world, in different cultures and with different needs. One farmer can't tend all the sheep on Earth, except for Jesus.

There are no real differences, denominations are just subgroups of one big group called christianity. Nobody calls out science for having biology, physics, anthropology...etc and they all work toward understanding reality just as denominations work to understanding the one God

The bible is a big book, and as time passed, preachers sorted through it to decide which things they would follow.

There are not many Christian Denominations but there are thousands of Protestant Denominations despite the fact that there is only one God, one Bible, and almost all Protestant Denominations say that their teachings are based on the Bible. There is one Roman Catholic Church and it's official teachings are based more on what is in the Bible than any Protestant Denomination or church. One of the reasons for that is that Jesus and His Apostles started the Roman Catholic Church while all of the Protestant Denominations started way over a thousand years after that.

People have a habit of thinking themselves into a corner.. Church Councils were a bad idea, new traditions were a bad idea, they just should have listened to Jesus and we wouldn't have all this add-on crap.

Because we are the true Christians.
