Do you like-like him?

經常在電視劇中聽到類似的英語?
1.) Do you like him, or do you like-like him?
2.) Do you want soy milk, almond milk, or milk-milk?
3.) I'm up, I'm just not up-up.

我知道這是coloquial English,為什麼要重覆like-like, milk-milk, up-up,用意何在? 真正的意思是什麼?

因為可以準確地說明你很愛那樣東西或人物,如:I like to eat noodles.I like to eat buns too. 翻譯:我愛吃麵。我都愛吃麵包。 希望可以幫助你。

Dude, this is super easy. These motherese repetitions are used:

1. to mean "real" or "really"
2. on basic and daily things (or routines)
3. also to calm any somehow stressful situations
