Can someone explain to me what’s going to happen in the Great Tribulation Period?

I know what’s gonna happen. But I’m only 14 and I need someone to kind of put it in... kid form. Like when people say, “There will be great famine and severe acts”, I get what hey mean but I don’t at the same time. Can someone break it down some more in a more kiddy way?

Famine is the result of the absence of food. You go hungry, not for the afternoon or the evening, but for days on end. Since you probably have seen one or two "post-apocalypse" movies, i.e., movies about a time when order and the rule of law breaks down, you have some sense of what it means to be unable to find food and how that affects people's behaviors. Consequently, people employ force, even killing, in order to survive.

The Book of Revelation unveils twenty-one separate judgments of God over the seven year period.

The following summarize the 21 judgments of God that will be imposed during the seven-year tribulation, according to the Book of Revelation.

Judgments of the first 3.5 years in The Revelation:

Seven Seal Judgments – the Four Horses of the Apocalypse

1. Antichrist (false, impersonator of Jesus) is revealed to the world - white horse (Revelation 6:1-2)
2. War – red horse (Rev 6:2-4)
3. Famine (starvation) – black horse (Rev 6:5-6)
4. Pestilence (disease) – pale horse – a fourth part of mankind killed (Rev 6:7-8)
5. Martyrdom of Saints (Rev 6:9-11) - believers in Jesus are killed for their faith
6. Signs in Heavens, Big Earthquake, Anarchy (Rev 6:12-17)
7. Silence in Heaven – opens “7 Trumpets” (Revelation 8:1)

Seven Trumpet Judgments (1 thru 6 during the first 3.5 years of tribulation)

1. Hail, fire, and blood – third part of the trees destroyed (Rev 8:7)
2. Fiery mountain (volcano) – third part of the sea and its creatures destroyed (Rev 8:8-9)
3. Great meteor, Wormwood – third part of the waters became undrinkable (Rev 8:10-11)
4. Darkness – third part of the sun and moon are darkened (Rev 8:12-13)
5. First Woe - Locusts – poisonous like scorpions; people desire death (Revelation 9:1-12)
6. Second Woe - 200-million man army from the east – third part of mankind killed (Rev 9:13-21)

Judgments of the second 3.5 years in The Revelation:

7. Third Woe – opens seven “bowl judgments” (Revelation 11:15-19)

Seven Bowl Judgments

1. Sores (boils, open wounds) - afflicting all those who took the mark of the beast (Revelation 16:1-2)
2. Sea turns to blood – all sea creatures die (Rev 16:3)
3. Rivers and waters turn to blood (Rev 16:4-7)
4. Sun - scorches men with fire (Rev 16:8-9)
5. Beast’s kingdom – goes dark causing great pain and anxiety (Rev 16:10-11)
6. Euphrates river dried up – to allow the kings of the east to move into position (Rev 16:12)
7. Great worldwide earthquake – cities fall; hail; islands, mountains disappear (Rev 16:17-21)

And, then comes the final battle in Israel … in the Valley of Megiddo - the Battle of Armageddon and the Second Coming of Jesus (Rev 19)

By calculation 50% of the world will have died from the first of the 14 judgments. It is estimated that, by the time that Jesus comes (Second Coming) to destroy those that oppose Him at Armageddon, that 80% of the world’s population will have died.

Man will NOT be destroying himself through nuclear weapons or causing a devastating environmental disaster. What happens to the world will be from the direct cause of judgment by God. It will be unmistakable.

Once the Battle of Armageddon is over, in which Jesus defeats all those that oppose Him, thereafter will be the "sheep and goat" judgment (Matthew 25:31-46). Those that survive on earth following the Battle of Armageddon will stand before Jesus. The goats (non-believers) will be on His left and the sheep (believers) will be on His right. ALL "goats" will then immediately be cast into hell. Thus, ONLY believers will then enter into the Millennium Kingdom period in which Jesus rules with an "iron scepter" for 1000 years.

Yeah, I can. Nothing.

There would be too much to write.

I would have to practically write a book to include all the details. In fact, some books have been written that explains this. If you wanted me to write you a book, I would need to be paid for my time. (Two points is not sufficient compensation.)

You might be better off reading the Book of Revelation, and maybe locate other commentaries about the subject.

People have totally misinterpreted what the Great Tribulation is and I'm going to tell you what the Great Tribulation is forget all the nonsense you've heard from any other source here's the truth happy are those that come out of the Great Tribulation and have made their robes white in the blood of the Lamb!

The Great Tribulation isn't No 7 years with a bunch of plagues like those religious people are telling you the Bible tells you it is he that endures to the end is the one that is being saved.

Hear me and hear me well your life and all your eternity depends on it!

The Great Tribulation is your life! Your life from your birth till the day you die that's the Great Tribulation that you have to endure to the very end on God side to be saved otherwise nothing will make any difference to you in the end!

Lawlessness will reign throughout the world. Chaos will be everywhere. Evil will become unbearable. Mankind will take itself to the brink of self-destruction. The Great Tribulation ends with the Second Coming of Jesus. Study and analyze 2 Thessalonians 2

A great famine - no food, lots of people without any food. Empty grocer store shelves, nothing in anyone's fridge or cupboards. People eating whatever they can find (cat food, cats, stuff they dig up like roots).

Severe acts: that could mean war, mob violence, mass shootings, any of that kind of thing you see in the movies (Mad Max is a good example).

Most people will die due to war and famine and disease. Christians will be blamed for most everything, and they will be hunted down and exterminated on a worldwide scale. They will not be raptured out before the tribulation. Paul himself states that the Christians will see the Antichrist before the rapture.

People who are afraid see a fearful future. People connected with Christ don't.

"My yoke is easy and my burden is light."

You need to talk with your preacher about this, as it takes too much time and space here.

Everything will be counted in and accounted for with great rigor during the Great Tabulation. Then will follow the Great Liquidation when everything will be sold for rock-bottom prices.

The word translated tribulation means inward anguish of spirit. it always means that and never anything else.

Therefore there cannot be the Great Tribulation period, as you and so many erroneously suppose. That is a very gross misreading of Scripture.

Scripture is plain, those being saved will suffer tribulation.

That you ask and so many have such a wrong understanding not only indicates not taught of the Spirit, but also rather suggests they are not suffering tribulations and therefore not being saved, as they fondly suppose.

... Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

The Kingdom of God is to be entered now and requires self denial and the taking up of your cross which necessarily involves tribulation. The cross is to put to death the flesh so as to live by the Spirit.

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

If tribulation is not a present reality, in measure , even if not continuous then it is doubtful whether the person is in truth. If it is, it is hard to see how any can be put off by this false reading of the Great Tribulation period.

We are to hear God and not what men say..

You understand?

This supposed the Great Tribulation period is a carnal misreading of Scripture, a blind, that takes off and away from the importance of the cross in the person's life and so deprives them.
