Could somebody tell me about the asteroid that will fly by on December 16 I am really afraid that it willl hit earth and Destroy it HELP?

The 3200 Phaethon asteroid will come within 6.4 million miles of Earth on Dec 16th.

It is just over 3 miles in diameter but it poses no threat to the Earth.

Don't be afraid and start listening to idiots who have no clue what they are talking about.

At it’s closest, it’ll be 6 million miles distant... that’s about 25 times further than the moon - so... we’ll be fine.

There is *nothing* going by on the 16th. Spaceweather.com has moderate sized rocks going by on December 14th and 17th, but not on the 16th. And both of those will not get closer than about one million miles away, or four times the distance to the Moon.

I gave you the link to space weather below. Look for the section called "Near Earth Asteroids", about halfway down. You will also see that this is a fun page, that has lots of cool photos about the Sun and the auroras. You will learn a lot by reading the articles.
