This is definitely a matter of opinion. Personally I feel he's a decent actor, but his acting is better suited for over dramatic roles. He was great in WWF/WWE because of that. He's also great in comedies. If you give him a small guest appearance on a show or in a movie, he can pull that off pretty well too. However, putting him in a serious role... there are definitely a lot of people out there who could perform them better than he tends to. So where it's a matter of opinion, it also depends on what kind of role you're looking at. If you're asking just in general if he's a good actor, then he's decent. But I wouldn't give him much more than that.

No. There's acting and then there's acting. The Rock's style of acting is the former, where it's always basically the same, regardless of movie genre or role. And then there's the latter acting, Peter O'Toole, David Tennant, Laurence Olivier, Johnny Depp, Ian Mckellen.

He's as good as Vin Diesel. Both action movie stars. They are no Daniel Day Lewis, but they do entertain movie goers who expect nothing "Oscar worthy".

That's a tough one. I think maybe if he was given the chance to work on more diverse roles I'd be likely to say yes, but as far as everything I've seen him in...no. BUT, he's handsome, and enigmatic as all get out. He seems like the kind of guy you gravitate towards, and it's his charm that makes him so likable. And that really goes a long way.

The Rock is more of an entertainer than an actor, I was a big fan of him when he used to be a professional wrestler full time from the WWF (now WWE) in the late 1990's, he's not as good as an actor but he is charismatic and likeable which is why he gets so many movie roles.

At stunt and physical level, he's a good wrestler....but when it comes to serious core acting where one must transcends emotions verbally and facially, no, he has a lot to learn in that department.
