My friend and I were both hanging out at her house around 8 at night. My friend brought up a game we should do that's like "Ding dong ditch" but its where you leave a note on someone's door step, ring the bell, then hide. So we wrote little notes with innocent sayings like "live life happily" and "Live, laugh, love"
So we get to the 1st house, and my friend rang the door bell and said "Let's go to the side of the house and hide " so we did. We heard the door open and a guy said "Ha ha ha, yeah nice note." He slammed the door, and then went back inside. I was standing right next to the living room window so I heard everything he said. He was talking to his wife and said "Turn on the spot lights, and give me my big flash light, I'm going to find them." My friend and I were getting nervous, but we continued to hide there. Well the guy came back outside with a bright flashlight and was shining it everywhere. My friend whispered "hey lets just go apologize to him."
So we both went up to him and said "Hey sir, we are very sorry for doing that." He looked at us meanly and said "Yeah okay well I called the police by the way. You're on private property, you do know that right? You think it's funny to just do something stupid like that?"
We ended up standing there for 15 min. and he call his wife outside and said "I found the culprits, what a should we do? I'm really pissed off"
He finally let us leave and he never did call the police.
Don't you think he over reacted a bit too much?

Yes he did especially since you came up and owned up to it. You didn't do any real harm to him or anyone. If that would've been me I would've probably laughed and said nice note and thanks for the thought. I swear some people forget how it was when they were your age. I'll bet you any amount of money that when he was your age he did $hit that makes whatever you did Kindergarten. So he's probably no Mr. Lilly white innocent. Again you did nothing wrong and I'm probably old myself to you but I'm still laughing at what you did :) :) You sound awesome btw :) :)

Yes, sounds like a crazy person. Its unfortunate that there are so many of those these days. Try not to let it discourage you for niceness! :)

yes, he did. what you and your friends did was annoying and mildly inconvienent at most. he was acting like you vandalized something, which you didn't. I doubt he could've really gotten you in trouble with the police.
