A terrier called the Teddy Roosevet Terrier. Teensy is now 6 years old. It's hard to want another breed of dog because I love the energy and stubborness of the terrier. Very smart when you get through that thick skull of theirs. lol! My first dog and not my last of this breed. I never liked dogs or animals period until I got Teensy (she was originally my mom's dog). My other TRT, Jacob, was purchased from a breeder. He's 10 months old now. The photo shown is of Teensy.
參考: Owns 2 terriers
I got my first dog when I was 10 and she was a mutt from an oops litter down the street. My second dog was purchased 2 weeks before I got married and she was also a mutt. My next dog, considering you said *breed* was a German Shepherd Dog, so technically, even though she wasn't my first dog, she was my first purebred dog. That was about 40 years ago.
First dog I had was a min pin chihuahua mix! I have a hilarious picture of her about to bite me too.
參考: Macy was her name!
Terrier mix, mutt. Then several GSD's over a period of 40+ years, then JRT's.
We had mixes growing up; first one I remember was a Beagle mix. We also had a few purebreds - cairn terrier and Sheltie.
I got a Rottweiler puppy whenever I was just 5 years old. We named her Sheena. She just turned 10 on October 4th. (:
Like Horse Lover, my family had dogs before I was born. My first dog that I brought home myself, as a puppy, that belonged to me alone was when I was 8. His name was Muttley and he was a yellow lab X beagle.
By the time I was born we had 3 family dogs. A Boston Terrier, a German Shepherd and a mutt. Then when I married it was my husband's toy Poodle. Later we got a Dalmatian and now have a Rat Terrier.
1- Husky/lab mix
2- Rottweiler/lab mix
3- Beagle
4- Miniature Australian Shepherd
Yellow Labrador Retriever. I now have a pug and Shiba Inu mix. Both are wonderful dogs.
The first dog I owned that was my own and not the family dog is my current dog which is a Maltese/Shihtzu mix. The first dog I got full responsibility for as a kid was the families Labrador mix
My first dog was a German Shepherd x Siberian Husky. We got her from a farmer. My first purebred dog was a rescue German Shepherd female. We got her when I was 15. Before that we had another mutt, a rescue lab x corgi.
Technically a German Shepherd, buuut this person was begging my dad to adopt her, and he felt he had no choice. The dog was shy and not extremely friendly. About a month later she managed to escape and run away, and never came back. I can't remember much since I was little back then. I'd like to think that our first real dog was our Beagle Daisy. We had her since she was a puppy, and died around 12, although she had no signs of looking old, and it caught us by surprise. She was a great first dog since she was low maintenance, and super friendly. I still miss my food-loving Daisy. My next and current dog is a lovely young sheltie named Christy. She, like my previous dog has strong breed instinct. This is the closest bond I have ever had with a dog, and I do lots of training and playing with her.
A German Shepherd & then a cute bulldog.
The first dog I myself owned was a golden lab. The first dog I had growing up was a dauchand.
The first dog breed I owned (personally because my sisters had their own dogs) was a Lab/Shepard mix named Hallie. I would post a picture but the time that I owned her was a long time before camera phones and the hard copy of the picture is...who knows where. I am currently a proud pet parent of a 3 year old Lab/Retriever mix named Tig (yeah after SOA character - he totally has the same personality)
My pup is a shitzu mixed with a maltese his Mom had 4 pups 2 spotted and 2 white.Mine is a white one and has brownish spots on his ears.
The first dog my family ever owned was a border collie/German Shepard mix named Shiloh. It was when I was in second grade and we had just finished reading the book Shiloh. Some how after we read the book my second grade teacher got a puppy on her doorstep. She was trying to give it away and I wanted that puppy so bad. I talked to my mom and she said I could have it but low and behold my music teacher took the puppy before I even had a chance. I was so sad and depressed that my mother got me that dog and let me name him. We had him until he died of old age. I really miss that dog.
Well as for our first family dog when I was only 3, was an American Eskimo/Samoyed mix. My first dog that I had purchased myself was a AKC Miniature Poodle named Prince Doodles.
He was a curly little mutt and we found him on the side of the road. The first dog that was 100% mine was a german shephered x collie
A Tibetan Mastiff/Bhote Kukur.
German shepherd, she lived to 18 years old. Couldnt walk much because one of her hips went, but she was like one of the kids and still tried to get up and play.
My first dog was a German shepherd.
A wonderful brown labrador my parents got when i was 3, stayed with me until i was 19 :)
The first dog I had was a Pomeranian.
German Shorthaired Pointer!
My first dog was a poodle named Maxwell Reilly Rena ,cold black and a purebred with the cutest personality.
LAM
The sweetest, most underrated breed; Pitbull <3
I was born with dogs. I was born and already had a Golden Retriever for 15 years old. He died when I turned 1 it was sad. When I was 2 we got a Lab that was already 5 years old from the rescue shelter and now in 2015 he is 15 years old also when the Lab was 8 years old and I was 4 we got a Dalmatian. The Dalmatian was 2 years old. He is seven years old which all of your dogs have been male except the Golden Retriever. The Dalmatian died last year from Brain Tumor. The Lab is about to die and we already selected a Rottweiler for our next dog...YAY
The first puppy I owned was a female Beagle named Sandy.
I'm pretty sure it was a golden retriever actually? But I have had at least 5 pommeranians throught out the years (・ω・)ノ pom poms are my favorite breed ♡
I had a Border Collie called Gizmo:-)
My first dog was a westie who we got because we found her in my grannys back garden. She is completely the opposite of any other her breed that I have. Most Westies tend to be grumpy old men but she was a very placid sweet dog.
My first dog I owned is a Springer Spaniel named Sonny, and I have had him since I was 2 and he is now 9. My grandma owns his half brother, who is 10.
In 1963 I bought my first dog (Shane) for £1 from a market trader.
He was a Cross bred German Shepherd and he nearly died from distemper.
I pulled him through and he lived until he was almost 12 years old.
參考: Gsd owner for 52 years.
The first dog I have owned is a pitbulls they are great dogs and they are considered the nanny breed. I currently own a pot lab Sheppard mixed she is a great dog despite everything people have to say about the breed of dog they are amazing and great with kids its all about how you raise them
A red female Siberian Husky.
I think he was a sheep dog mix with something. His name was coco. He passed away a long time ago.
A poodle!! Love Poodles!!!
3 Dobermans that were guard dog trained used to let me climb on their backs like a horse as a toddler.
A husky and yellow lab mix lived till 20 in human years
1st dog was a chow but we quickly got rid of them since they bit my sister and brother. Next was a dalmatian (multiple actually we had about 5) then after my 2 passed away frim old age and cancer a a year ago me and my now husband got a Aussie/ lab mix then a Aussie a few months later a German Shepherd mix. We still have the Aussie mix, German Shepherd mix and full blooded Aussie they are all under 2 years old and my kids best friends.
IT WAS A GERMAN SHEPHERD, HIS NAME WAS SARGENT.. VERY LOVEABLE DOG, LOYAL AND A TRUE FRIEND! I MISS HIM! RIP
Hey there!
The first dog I ever lived with was a Caucasian Shepherd. However, he was my parent's dog, as I was too young at that time to be owning anything except a pacifier :)
My OWN first dog was a female Rottweiler, and she was the best dog one could possibly wish for...
I'm only 13, but the first dog my parents adopted was a Black Lab named Janie who we had to put down in 2012 due to cancer
I got my first dog when I was 18, she's a rescue Staffordshire bull terrier. They are not recommended as first dogs but you cant help who you fall in love with
A Pomapoo!! There are the mix or a Poodle, and a Pomeranian. They are the cutest thing ever! His name is Toto just like my account name!!!
Cavapoo. They are hypoallergenic which is great for people with allergies and are very affectionate. They enjoy walks but are more than happy to cuddle up on the sofa.
The first dog I owned was some kind of retreiver mix, we had no clue. She was found on the side of the road.
shih tzu and they're the greatest dog in the world with such a great disposition! Ive had terriers, havensises (I spelled that wrong) and shih tzus are by far the best
In my biological family, all of our dogs were mutts; oops, I mean mixes! The best by far, because she was a "house dog." was Snowball, an all-black cockapoo. She once saved me, Lassie-style, when I got so hot that I couldn't stand let alone walk back home from our walk out in the country. I have MS and get much worse if I get too warm. She didn't want to leave me, but I kept telling her to go home and get help. We'd never prepared or practiced for this, but Snowball finally left me, in the general direction of home. Still, I didn't know…and I was getting weaker and weaker. Then I heard my brother's car off in the distance. There was the car, a familiar black doggie's head hanging out the window!
My first dog in my adult life was similar in some ways; black, but a black Lab this time, my first service dog and more than amazing. My trainer called all over the world, literally, and was variously told that no dog could guide a blind person in a power wheelchair, nor could said dog do both guide work and service work, yada, yada, yada. Jazz did it all and more. For example, she had only been with me a few weeks, and I know she hadn't read any books on MS, but…On a July afternoon, I was sleeping, unaware that the air conditioning system had failed. But somehow Jazz knew I was failing. She woke me up by placing her phone, the one she was trained to get if I needed help, squarely under my chin as I napped on my back. If that weren't enough, she did it again a few weeks later when the need arose again. Another great asset Jazz had was her love of performing for audiences, then working the front row for all the adoration she could get. Together, she and I were able to do so much for kids afraid of dogs, for dogs in puppy mills, and for people and the community's understanding of the roles and places of service dogs. She laid (on the floor) alongside me through many an MRI, with cotton in her ears and cotton padding on the outside, firmly wrapped to protect her hearing. She swam with me during aquatic therapy, curled up in a ball under my airplane seat, and was trained to evacuate me from that plane, which thankfully only happened in the flight simulator. I could write a book about my Jazz adventures. I still thank God for that dog; without my service dogs, I would have had no alternative but to stay in bed or at home.
I grew up teething on a Mini Schnauzer. My family has always had dogs of all sorts, including mutts.
Mine first pet was golden labrador.
A double doodle named Harley:) he is a golden doodle and labradoodle mix. I still have him today (he is 7) and I can honestly say he is the sweetest most loving dog I have ever met. I love him very very much and I can't imagine life with out him!
The first dog in our family was the German Shepherd. I was so young that I do not remember his name. What I do remember was laying down side-by-side as he licked my face.
a toy fox terriier (sp) when I was 9 - shared with my younger sister
Snoodle, a Schnauzer-Poodle mix.
Tibetan terrier - NIGHTMARE! He was already two when we got him and wasn't socialized with dogs at all, he had many behavior problems and we had to end up giving him to these more experienced dog people, but they were really nice and he's now spoilt
The first dog breed I owned was a golden retriever she was so sweet and cute
German Short named Levi #2 A Grey Ghost #3 Dobi#4
I owned a Husky-Golden Retriever mix. She was beautiful.
I owned a miniature teacup/toy poodle. My grandpa was a truck driver and lived out of his truck, when I was 4 we went to visit him in his truck one night. He handed me this itty bitty little puppy and told me I could keep her. He had already named her Precious. Later I found out that he had not consulted my parents before giving me the dog but they went along with it because I was so happy. I've never known another dog with as much personality and attitude as my little poodle. She was sweet, smart, rebellious, and loyal. I had her for 11 years before she died.
American bully / German Shorthaired Pointer. Very odd combo haha
A miniature Doberman Pin. His name was bandit.
Full breed golden retriever:
pit bull mixed with a boxer... it was bad *** dog..
Oh, my first one was dogue de bordeaux: a giant, scary but very friendly and calm dog. My girlfriend bought him after we started dating and I was a witness of him growing up. The funniest thing about this is that I was terrified of dogs through my whole life (a big dog attacked me, when I was a kid) and now I can handle any kind of dog and I am now sure they are the best pets possible.
Irish wolfhound cross Chihuahua.....lol impossible nah first dog was lab cross kelpie, bed dog ever, loyal, protective when needed be and a sook around friends ????????
not owned a dog but iv always wanted my frist one to be a husky :)
I have only had Yorkshire terriers as pets
My favourite breed
The first dog breed I owned (personally because my sisters had their own dogs) was a Lab/Shepard mix named Hallie. I would post a picture but the time that I owned her was a long time before camera phones and the hard copy of the picture is...who knows where. I am currently a proud pet parent of a 3 year old Lab/Retriever mix named Tig (yeah after SOA character - he totally has the same personality)
The first dog I ever had was a German Shepherd. Actually, the first several I had were all GSDs. I was too young to really remember our first one, Athena, but we had Guardian, Champ, Chief, Buster, and a litter of puppies (Guardian and Champ's) after her. We had Chief for about fourteen years and he was the best dog I ever had.
Irish Wolfhound. They are just about the biggest teddy bears you'll ever meet. These dogs are huge, and would never hurt a fly.
I owned a full blood red noes pitbull.. People may think there are mean and bad dogs, but my Pit was an sweet, and amazing dog, not mean at all. It's not the dog that's bad its the owner who makes the dog bad. i also recommend cenal training any dog you get.
My first dog was a white pomeranian named snuggles. I don't really remember much about him except he had two guy poms with a white and black pom. but the weird part is, the two dogs' mom died after they did. she was 14. she was a good dog, much like all the other dogs in the family, i miss all four of them. But I got two more, they're sisters, and I love them just as much.
Black lab! was such a quiet and sweet dog
A male Welsh Corgi, Cardigan.
I had a bulldog. I bought him because he had a large penis.
dachshund. a loyal little budy named buttercup.
Jack Russell, 5 years ago i went to go get her from my cousin house they said they had one left so we took her, i remember when we got her home she came put her head next to me and slept i was so happy (i was 10)
3 months later we had to put her down she ate some plastic, the thing is we took her to the vet they said she was fine a week later we took her to another vet cause when we came home she had vomited green stuff everywhere.
they said we could do surgery but she could still die when/after surgery. so we decided its time to let her go.
A blue merl collie cross cardigan corgi called Brock. He was such a sweetie and part of my life for 14 years
A border collie mix, he would even go to church with me, everywhere. He saved me from a man that tried to kidnap me when I was about five. He used to walk along side of me and when the man tried to pull me into his car "Old Jiggs" bit him in the face and we ran home. So many story's of My Old Jiggs, I could go on for pages. I still have every moment of ours in my heart.
Yorkshire Terrier named Tiffany
The first dog I ever owned was Madison & Watson, both Bernese Mountain dogs. The were humble giants
A mutt just like the ones I now own 60 years later
a rottweiler, he is now 4 and he is the sweetest dog I have ever met. I was 8 when i got him. I now also have 10 ak huskies.
A Boston Terrier! They're a great breed and I would recommend them to anyone thinking about getting a new dog. They're cute, playful and have a lot of energy, friendly, are good family dogs, and are low maintenance because they have short hair so you don't have to get them groomed. The only downside is that they typically don't live very long and have eye problems, such as cataracts. (But I'm sure if you keep them healthy, make sure they have lots of exercise, and only feed them water and dog food they should be fine.) My dog had those and died at 10, but then again I think she had something wrong with her brain. They usually live 13-15, that is the average lifespan. But they're so precious, I love boston terriers. French bulldogs are also great too, they're so cute. Below is a cute video telling all about boston terriers!

First it was a black Labrador retriever, and when she passed away, I got another lab whom I love very much.
My first family dog was a lab but my first dog that was just mine was a Pomeranian
Of my own? A black lab named Dakota. When I was a kid we had a Saint Bernard named Nana and a Collie named, wait for it... Lassie.
Golden retriever/collie mix.

She's mixed, but she's the best dog in the whole world and I love her to pieces!

West Highland White Terrier! She is small for a average sized westie.
A Germans shepherd and a border collie
black and tan mongrel with a curly tail
I got my first dog a month ago. He is a mini poodle mixed with a toy poodle. He is currently four pounds and a year old. He was from an animal shelter.
White female Pomeranian, 3 lbs full grown
The first dog I owned was a mixbreed. A beagle/lab mix. I was around 27 years old, married, with a child in 2nd grade.
Since then, all the rest of my dog, including those I currently own, have been standard wirehair dachshunds.
I had a Rottweiler and Black Lab/Chow mix when I was born but my first ever puppy was a Boxer
Family had rottweilers growing up and an abused Jack russell mix. I got my first rotti myself when I was 12.
I was born into a family with dogs. There was a spaniel mix who loved car rides and would hitchhike, a yellow Labrador, and a Boxer. Then there were a Bearded Collie, another yellow Lab, a terrier mix, several Border Collie mixes, two Belgian Shepherd crosses, a Greyhound, a couple of Labrador mutts and lots of foster dogs.
rat terrier chihuahua mix
A Karadashian DVD, Those ugly dogs are every on the news.
I have a beagle mixed with some other dog, I'm not sure what. Her name is Maggie and she is 7 and she was m first dog, and I still have her.
My first dog was a 1 and a half year old Rottweiler, i then bought a golden Labrador aged 8 months, then another rottweiler she was 8 weeks when we got her. So we now have three dogs, there a right handful which is certainly expected.
I owned a Beagle for 3 days, my dad accidentally killed him (long story short, a old fashioned rocking chair broke his back), and now own a Lab/Golden Retriever mix for approaching 7 years. I just got into showing/breeding dogs, so I will also be getting another Beagle and/or Lab :)
