千萬不要省小條、開大條啊！

有句諺語.

(be) penny wise and pound foolish

大概是類似的意思.
Stingy about small expenditures and extravagant with large ones

Don't be penny wise and pound foolish.

"penny wise pound foolish."
The meaning; eg:-
The Taiwan buz. in China said:-
"If you're penny-pinching for a small gain,
then you're carelessly ignoring the
great lost of money
in a loophole
in the buz."

Penny wise, and dollar foolish is what blue coats would say!

(be) penny wise and pound foolish 確實是很傳神。
"省小條、賠大條!"是我在中國的台資廠和台幹接觸中聽到的，當時只認為說的頗為貼切，就牢記心上。想不到英文也有如出一轍的說法。

看看還有沒有其他說法。
(另如有中文類似的俚俗語也請提供，不論是廣東話，客家話，上海話。)

這句話又該如何看待? 和原問句是否有抵觸?


(至於美國人，我們可以先擱在一邊，They watch the PENNIES lost on the sidewalk and the FED will take care of the DOLLARS.)
