其實 garlic2010 和 Godfrey 已經多次指導你運用 past tense 和 present perfect tense 的概念。

你可以給予自己多一點信心和機會,嘗試運用英語去寫作更多,暫時不要太拘泥於時態的問題。

外國人學英語也會學文法和時態,但他們初時不是公式化地學習,而是在日常生活中聽到哪句,學說那句,自然就會融會貫通。

就這樣說 Tom, Mary has played badminton. 用 present perfect tense 是沒甚意義的。

如果你強調他們二人曾經打過羽毛球,你可說:
Tom and Mary has played badminton before.
(例如當別人問起他們二人有否曾經打過球的時候。)

如果你強調他們二人打羽毛球的時期,你可說:
Tom and Mary has played badminton for 10 years.
Tom and Mary has played badminton since they were children.

但如果你只是泛指一個過去了、完成了的動作,你應該用 past tense:
Tom and Mary played badminton.

我想再帶出一點,與其你去問這樣對與錯,倒不如你先構思好你想表達什麼,再看看什麼句子或句式比較適合,這樣可能你和大家也沒有那麼辛苦。

我在意見欄再放一些連結,你去看看吧。
不要太執著啦~
否則你會很辛苦的。

或者我都回應一下:

「想問問大家係米個動作一完成,上邊lee 句就出現。」

應該唔係~
應該係個動作一開始就會有機會講呢句。

即使要寫 present perfect tense,由於 Tom, Mary 是兩人,要用 have,不是 has。

(X) Tom, Mary has played badminton.
(O) Tom, Mary have played badminton. [再配合其他字句]

I think it is Tom , Mary have played badminton. Because Tom and Mary are two people, should be have. And the verbs with these words, for example, Tom and Mary. Then, u have change the verbs correctly.

Tom and Mary have played badminton for ten years.

Tom and Mary 是 compound subject
兩個 single subjects joined by "and" (coordinating conjunction) 應該用 have

When Karen=Mary;
The present perfect tense:-
Indicates an action that took place in the past, associated with the present idea of now,eg:-Tom said,"Mary has played badminton."
She has played badminton. (up to now.)
For an action just concluded when the resulting state is still present,or when activities completed in the immediate past, just is often used, eg:-
Mary has just played badminton.
Mary has played badminton since she was in P.3.

Past tense is used to express an action wholly completed at some point or during some period in the past, eg:-She played badminton yesterday.
She played badminton for three years.
The simple past tense is usual with words or phrases that are time indicators,.In some conditional sentences, and sentences expressing a supposition:-
Suppose I asked you what you would like for an expression in past or present perfect?
What would you say if I asked you to express that idea/that tense to suit you (in badminton?)
I had rather you told her present perfect tense ---after you did;
---Or as soon as it began----past tense.
If I were you,Karen, I should accept the explanation by "Contentment" response.
HenceTom said that Mary has played badminton for 3 years (and am still playing it.) She has just played badminton now; there is nothing to prevent her from playing off.The badminton was playing all right a moment ago but now it has stopped by Mary.Mary has played badminton ;said Tom for duration of an action which began in the past and continuing to the present and possibly to the future.;and matched well with Simple Past Tense:-Mary played (--)yesterday.

Thank you for Contentment---a feeling of happiness or satisfaction.
Mary has found Contentment at last.
