英文in a hurry vs at once 一問

in a hurry 係指　匆忙地
at once 係指　立即

1. You should do your work at once. Don't hesitate.
　你應該立即做你的工作。不要猶疑。

2. You can finish your project in a hurry. It's been delayed for a week already.
　你可以匆忙地完成你的計劃。那已經延誤了一星期。

兩者用法不同之處就是看上文下理的意思，因為兩者的意思都不相同，at once (立即)明顯是更緊急，要馬上處理。
今次兩者的分別明顯地你用中文的思維去想都可以。
但小心有一些英語的文法不可以直接用中文去想，所以我們都要多讀多聽多寫多講。

至於第二題用can finish，這個令你感到不是那麼強烈的感覺，但仍很趕急。
如果它寫 You must finish your project (immediately) 的意思，那則也可以用 at once。

at once 立刻，因為後句 Don't hesitate 是不要猶豫或遲疑，所以用 at once.

2. You can finish your project in a hurry. It's been delayed for a week already.

at once 針對的是時間，何時進行或執行，是解答 when 的問題。
in a hurry 針對的是行動，是指進行的速度，是解答 how 的問題。

at once refers to the time a task is carried out.
in a hurry addresses the speed with which you carry out a task.

第二句後句話項目已經遲了一星期，所以不單要立即進行而且要做得快。

點解寫can finish係因為全句意思的處境表達不單是一句statement記事，而全句係一個評語...

你應該要盡速完成習作(project)，而現在卻是已經拖延了一星期。
(I think我認為原本)You can finish your project "in a hurry"=as soon as possible.
(the fact is現況是) It has been delayed for a week already.

題1
情況是要做的work的鼓勵語是"不要猶豫"/"不要懷疑"
所以對應的行動/形容做的副詞或phrase便應是「立刻」do your work "at once".

你要教囡囡是從句中其他的子句和詞語中互相關聯地構圖...使文字立體化來理解整個處境來決定選用的字(就算不是選擇題也可以從自己認識的詞彙中試找一些同類意思的來用)...習作便不會成為公式而是可以舉一反三或多元學習的工具。

"You can/must finish your project at once" sounds a lot better to me than "You can/must finish your project in a hurry'

(1)You should do your work at once.=adv all together, at the same time. Don't hesitate.
(2)You can finish your project in a hurry.=go hasten , be speedy;
=can finish=auxiliary verb + verb
