simple english questions

前日我也問過 但我天生愚蠢不明白
所以再問一次 希望前日回答我回應者不要介意
Researchers from two American universities looked at data recorded from all around the world

recorded from all around the world"呢個系一個phraze, 用黎describe "data
"record"系verb
"recorded"系adjective

Inflation has reached record levels.
record levels 這個record同是adjective
那麼在為何不用recorded
但係又唔會
Inflation has reached recorded levels.
好明顯錯

同樣都係record(adj)
為什麼1個加ed一個沒加?

我知有幾個情況下係加ed

一個係轉past tense
一個係passvie vioce
一個participle adjectives

record係一個noun /verb
加左ed就變做adj?
咩record有adj既咩?
我查字典冇既

其實
Researchers from two American universities looked at data recorded from all around the world

The vehicle is limited to 80km/h

Researchers from two American universities looked at data recorded from all around the world

recorded from all around the world 就是一個 passive participle,作為 adjective 形容 data,意思是「從世界各地記錄的」。這個 passive participle 其實寫成完整句子的話,就是 [Data is] recorded [from all around the world]。

簡單來說,passive participle 就是不要過去分詞之前的部分,只要後面的部分。

最後,The vehicle is limited to 80km/h 的 limited 雖然是一個過去分詞,但它不是一個 adjective,而是 verb,你可用 SVO 句法看看:

第一句:
S:Researchers from two American universities
V:looked
O:at data recorded from all around the world(passive participle 用來形容作為 object 的 data)

第二句:
S:The vehicle
V:is limited
O:to 80km/h

其實還有 active participle 和一些其他用法的,不過似乎也過多了,打不了,希望幫到你。

所以兩句是不同的。

有時可以將兩個字當成一個 compound noun 看,例如 ice cream(雪糕),你不會把它分開看吧?

----The simple English questions should not be used incomprehensibly,or it is unreasonable. SVO can be used as a rule here:-
The participle adjective to participle adverb to participial phrase to Adverb Phrase should be used here.
The Infinitive phrase, the singular adverb to Adverb Phrase should be used here.
(1)--looked(v) at (prep) recorded data from all around the world (noun clause)
when refering SVO rule.
(2)Inflation (s) has reached (v) record-level.(adv.phrase ,obj.to v.)
---Vehicle (s) is limited (v) to 80Km/h.(infinitive phrase as object.)
Hope that will help.
