The figure is believed to the biggest awarded in a file-sharing case.

1呢到個awarded 詞性是否verb,如果係咁咪有2個verb(is believed , awarded)
2:biggest(比較式) 後面咩唔係只可跟noun?點解會用award"ed"

✔ 最佳答案
1. awarded is a past participle, not a verb in the sentence. The past participle replaces what can be a relative clause as shown in the following sentence.

The figure is believed to the biggest (figure) that is awarded in a file-sharing case.

2. The noun after biggest has been omitted to avoid repeating the same noun - figure, again. The noun is understood to be there after biggest.

The word be is missing in your sentence.

The figure is believed to BE the biggest awarded in a file-sharing case.

The sentence should be:
The figure is believed to be the biggest (one) awarded in a file-sharing case.

The figure is believed to the biggest awarded in a file-sharing case. - wrong grammar.

(1)awarded=adv, no 2 verbs(is believed only.)
(2)biggest don't follows a noun,but follows an adv awarded.
The whole sentence be:-
The figures-------subject
is believed--------verb
to (be) the biggest
(to be ) awarded-------adverb
in a file-sharing case--------a complement.(Do not confuse with compliment,to compliment someone on their performance.)
