How are you supposed to get experience without experience if everybody requires experience?

Also they're looking for the right type of experience.

It's a Catch-22 but one possible alternative is to find a position as a volunteer somewhere, which may give you the experiences (and references) you'll need for the next step.

If the jobs require experience then you're applying for the wrong sort of jobs. Look for entry level jobs. Although you'll be qualified for those jobs there will be things about it you'll have to learn and once you do you'll be qualified for other jobs, working your way up to a better job.

Just apply anyway. You might get an interview, you never know.

Yes, either volunteer , community service or something or apply for a lower position. I don't know what job you're applying for, but it must be high, maybe try getting a trade in that range or something

Try volunteering in a sector most related to the career you want. Or you can work on your transferable skills.

It's annoying isn't it?

Just a warning, not everyone likes people who has volunteered and prefer people with paid experience (why, i don't know). I found out when I tried to apply for a job via an agency. :S

It is difficult today, I went through the same issue. But now I work in HR and review resumes and applications, and with so many people applying that actually have experience they trump everyone without experience. You need to find an internship or start at the bottom of a company and work your way up.
I worked customer service my whole life, finally almost a year after graduating college I asked if I could job shadow or intern for our HR department. Well that worked out great since after about a month and a half in my internship role they offered me full time.
