"relative to"和"as to"跟動詞/動名詞？

relative to 和 as to 後一定不是動詞，後面是名詞片語或動名詞 (gerund)。

Examples:
You must pay extra effort as to validating the integrity of the data.
As to accepting Peter as a member of the club, the board still has some reservation.
The publicity cost is only a small amount relative to financing the whole project.


但 so as to 後就用動詞。
so as to = in order to
He woke up early so as to catch the first train.
