Definition of quantifiers (數量詞) :
Quantifiers are a type of determiner which denote imprecise quantity. They differ from numbers or numerals which indicate precise quantity.

數量詞是限定詞的一種，表逹不定的數量，數量詞與數字不同，數字是表逹確定的數量。

Examples of quantifiers:

some (for both countable and uncountable nouns)
several (countable)
a [small/large] number of (countable)
many (countable)
much (uncountable)
most
a lot of
lots of
plenty of
a few (countable)
a little (uncountable)

numerous

Both and each are also quantifiers but they denote precise quantity.
