box spring是彈簧床架沒錯, 是半成品.
但box spring bed 就是彈簧床了, 是成品.
硬式彈簧床一般是指傳統彈簧床, 用的就是box spring.

傳統床墊, Bonnell Spring made mattress. 基本做法是用一個個的彈簧(spring)連起來做成的床墊. 每個不同製造商有不同的編法, 彈簧的硬度...等等. 席夢絲是第一個採用獨立筒. 英文叫Pocket coil. 但是, 不管是怎麼個編法. 床墊的軟硬是用

我不認為你找的是box spring. box spring是沒有舖棉的, 完全就是支撐彈簧床而已. 有些人如果用的是木板床, box spring是可以省的.

獨立筒 is a design style, not a de facto standard.

Just like Prinsoner pointed out, Box spring is only used for the bottom half, not to sleep on it.

Well, in the States, a traditional bed has two layers: mattress on top and box spring on the bottom. The mattress is for the comfort while the box spring is to support the weight.

So, it is very hard to find a single word for your question.
