was just ready (to do something) 或者 was just about ready (to do something) 都有"剛準備好去做某些事情" 的意思。
如果要表達"剛"的意思,用"just"比較好 (just = 剛才-used to say that you/somebody did something very recently)。而且要用past tense.
am/is about (to do) 係"快要,即將"的意思。沒有"剛準備"的意思。

was about (to do) 係"正要"的意思,廣東話亦可以解為"剛準備",它的含意與"just..."或許有少許不同。
