全部貨品五折起

上面七個字是在零售店櫥窗上看到的,據我猜度,五折起是解作一些貨品五折,有些是六折,有些是七折之類。但我認為不會低至四折、三折吧....。因為如該店打算可用三、四折出售,為何不寫明此較大的折扣,以吸引顧客呢? 所以五折應是最大的優惠啊!

另外,在旅行社的一些行程單張,常見到知$399起或$1,999起等的價目。這表示最平的價錢是$399或$1,999,但其他的行程會貴些。

如果是由5折起, 就係up to 50% OFF, 商業手法, up to的字體會比較細. 這是常見的商業行為.
中文的折扣正和英文的折扣數字相反.
不過如果是標價碼的, 就係$399 & UP.
