Our/My opponent 比賽中我/我們的對手，是勝負之爭的對手，比較直接淺白的用字

Our/My counterpart 討論或對奕時的對手，未必是勝負之爭或是尊重對手的平等地位 - 在總統選舉辯論時會這樣尊稱對手，是比較「高深」含意的用字。

得兩三分鐘講梗係要爭取時間，所以稱對方
our opponents 或
our dear opponents
就可以了。

叫另一方as 'our opponents'.

The affirmative side 正方
The negative side 反方
The debaters on the affirmative side said..
The first speaker on the .....side said.that.....
The debaters on the negative side maintain that....
The second speaker on the ..... side maintains that...
