一句句字點用2 verbs??

一個 clause(分句) 只可以有一個動詞，但一個句子可以有幾個 clause，例子如下：

He finished (verb) three bowls of rice because he was (verb) very hungry.
He met (verb) the prisoner who had escaped (verb) from the prison the night before.
上面二句都有主句和分句，各有本身的動詞，所以句子有兩個動詞。

Having sold his watch on eBay, he headed (verb) to the post office to send the item.
上面句子就只有一個 clause，所以只有一個動詞，句子前剖份是一個 phrase (片語)，並非一個分句，having sold 不是動詞。
