Is it a good idea to find out about a country before you visit it?

Yes, it is a good idea to find out about a country before I visit it, because I can have extra time to go sightseeing without wasting time (in what – in searching the interesting places). Also, I can find out some laws in those countries such as no chewing gums in Singapore . It can ensure that I would not be against the laws in those countries, and then I can have a happy trip. In addition, I know what are the special food, products and buildings in the countries I am going to visit so that I can see more within my limited traveling time. You see, there are a lot of pros for finding out about a country before (no I) visiting it.

That's a good idea, I think . If you know more about the country where you are going to visit , including culture, delicacy, some forbidding laws and attraction, you can enjoy sigthseeing without wasting extra time . For example, bringing chewing gum into Singapore, even small quanitties for whatever purpose, is banned . You, as a visitor/tourist to Singapore, are just asking for trouble(自找麻煩) without knowing about such a forbidding law. In addition, you can make decision of where to visit, what kind of special food to eat and what products to buy during your trip.
It's well worth making the effort to search more information about the country to which you wish to pay a visit.

For examply, people can not have chewing gum by law in Singapore If we know it before, we will not do it to against the law there and we will have a happy trip.
