上網的問題

無法上網上有人教我在執行輸入ipconfig，但剛按下確定，有一個視窗出現，但隨即消失，why?
It should be Start-> Run-> [type] " cmd ", then on the command prompt window, [type]ipconfig.

本人開機時電腦顯示只能有限度連線，無法上網. 但後來重新開機後便沒有問題, 希望知道原因
This is because the IP address provided by the ISP got expired. When you re-started your PC, a new IP address was probably renewed. We are all using dynamic IP address provided by the ISP (except for those companies, schools paid for static IP) and it is only good for a certain period of time. Normally, the router should be able to renew the IP address automatically, but it might get " stuck " sometimes. So, in the future, if you cannot connect to the internet, try powering the modem and router off. Turn it back on should renew the IP and the problem will be solved.

To garlic:Yes, you are rite... IP address usually lasts for days, not hours. Since ISP cannot determine when users leave (turn off their PC) the network, DHCP servers would then require every user to initiate four basic steps when joining the network.

They are IP lease request, IP lease offer, IP lease selection and IP lease acknowledgement. User can request its " last used " IP address, if it is still valid, the server might grant the request or the server can simply deny it.

This is what happen to cheungpuilam's case, when his/her PC talked to the DHCP server requesting the last used IP address or extending the lease offer, somehow the server denied it and did not assign the next available IP to him/her.

因為電腦沒有取得網絡供應商或經路由器指派的ip.

開始 -> 執行 ->鍵入 cmd,在Command Prompt鍵入 ipconfig/release,跟著再鍵入 ipconfig/renew, 便可取得ip. 不是在 執行鍵入ipconfig

Hi, twox_manI know the ip asigned by dhcp server will expire after a period of time. But the ip assigned by the ISP will last for days, not hours, right? Is it just coinciental that you get your ip expired when you are on-line?

有時中左毒都會不能上網
