Compassionate Grounds 作為標題，可意譯譯作「憐憫之心」。Grounds當然並非解心，grounds 指基於....原因或理由。英語有 On what ground? 一句，指你根據什麼？但作為中文新聞標題，總難譯作「基於憐憫理由」這樣沒頭沒腦的一句。

High-profile case 這裡指可譯作高姿態的案件。

11-month sentence 中的 hypen及 singular，是因為11-month 是adjective (noun as adjective)，noun 作為adjective，是不能用 plural的。別的例子有 27-inch TV，seven-a-side rugby。
