short-circuit vs short circuit?嚴格來說, 新聞片段中的 hypen 是不應加的, 因為 a short circuit 作可數名詞之時, 不用加 hypen 的. 加了 hypen 之後, short-circuit 便變成了動詞:
short circuit noun [C] (INFORMAL short)
a faulty electrical connection which causes the current to flow in the wrong direction, often having the effect of stopping the power supply
