把電腦"改裝"........ = To re-equip the computer to ........

The correct word for modifying a computer is UPGRADE.

e.g. I want to upgrade my computer with a faster processor.

For other equipment, you may use RECONFIGURE or REMODEL.

For a house, the word is RENOVATE.

MODIFY is acceptable in most situation.
