Why do workers in fast food restaurants always mess up my order?

Every time I go to fast food places like McDonald’s or Wendy’s, workers there will always mess up my order. They would also sometimes to forget napkins or silverware in the bag too. It is beyond irritating. Do they not take their job seriously? Why can’t they pay attention more?

I get drive through all the time. There used to be a time when a mistake was rare. Very rare.
Almost every single time I get a drive through order, there is a mistake. Or several. All the time. Now I expect them to screw it up so I put it in park and check the bag.
My opinion is almost everyone under the age of 30 has zero work ethics. Our company won’t hire them. Too lazy. Can’t depend on them. Always late. Bring their dramatic private lives to work through their phones.

Pick it up inside, and check your bag, if it's wrong, make a scene.

It depends whether you issues were before covid or during. For me, during covid, all orders were messed up and a lot of food inedible.
