Isn't public school wonderful?
Roughly fifteen sticks of butter, following your measurements.
I gather you are a victim of a Liberal edumacation, eh? Simple math is beyond you?
Hurry, before the board closes, take your dumb a$$ question over to Education and Reference and post it in Homework Help. Git along now, doggie.
7 sticks - don't believe the math from the first answer - there are lies, damn lies and statistics.
Go to your teacher and ask for help in solving this problem.
If you cannot learn to solve these types of problems, you will flunk math .. and should flunk math. Because next year's math will build off of what you learned this year, and if you cannot do this year's math, you will not be able to do next year's math.
Besides .. I cannot tell you HOW often I use the skills of figureing out equivalent fractions .. which is what this question is asking you. I use this technique almost every day. And NOT for my job, but in my personal life.
150 cookies is a lot more than 20. So when you buy the butter, that much butter, you'll go to costco instead of the local grocery store. So the sticks of butter will be bigger. You'll probably need around 10 sticks of costco butter.
2 sticks(just cut them smaller)& smaller cookies
I went 2 divided by 20, times 150.
Is this algebra, hahahaha, I forget.
2 and 20 can be brought down to 1 and 10, and then you get your answer.
20 x 7.5 = 150
So, 2 x 7.5 = 15
You’ll need 15 sticks of butter.
