Is it stepping boundaries that my supervisor follows me to my bus stop and sit with me at lunch?

My one boss always tries to sit with me on my lunch break and it makes me uncomfortable because I am worried he will tell me to go back to work and also because it's awkward. I try to be polite and still eat but when I get up, he tells me to sit down and relax. He also never catches the bus but he sometimes follows me to the bus stop and goes the same way I am going. He will even wait with me to chat off duty and wait for me to get on the bus. Is this weird behavior of him or is it being friendly?
