The attempts to bring people to God are based on the fear of death that gets escalated by the threat of eternal Hell.

Religions, aware of this natural mechanism, use it as part of indoctrination!
Religion creates and perpetuates the fear of death and the consequence of living.... The Clergy exploit this fear by diminishing this life in favor of an After-World.

Theists don't want to believe that physical death is the end, so they insist on wishful thinking somehow their mind and their thinking will continue to exist and function without any physical brain in an eternity of sustained bliss, or even be reincarnated in a new form.

Fear is the glue that binds one with religion.

Various options and others get to chose for you.
Decomposition.
Combustion.
Sky burial.
Snack for cannibals.
Stuffed and exhibited.

Everlasting life no chance.

Most likely nothing.

This amazing life is the only life there is. When you are dead, it's like before you were conceived. No darkness. No light. No noise. No silence. No laughter. No tears. No awareness whatsoever.  You will not know you are dead. You will not know you ever existed. There is nothing to fear.
As a living person, you have 5 senses - sight, sound, smell, taste, touch. Your brain processes sensory input. Your brain remembers, rationalizes, questions, thinks! When you die, you cease to exist. You have no senses and no processor.Live your life now, with love and compassion!
2021-04-18 3:27 am
That depends on whether the person is a Believer, or not.
2021-04-18 3:38 am
To the rest of the universe, it goes on.

My death ends me, and your death ends you. Period.

We decompose, unless we're cremated -- then we're just ash.
2021-04-18 9:52 am
We meet God face to face, are judged by Him, and allowed to go on to the eternal existence we have freely chosen during our life on Earth - Heaven or Hell.
2021-04-18 7:35 am
I think there is nothingness. Like a deep sleep involving no dreams and from which you never wake up from
2021-04-18 4:46 am
1 - nothing, that's it. End of you.
2 - be a ghost.

Can't wait to see if I get a choice when I croak it
2021-04-18 7:48 am
I think the mind stops existing when the brain stops working.
This is supported by about of century of medical evidence.
I see no reason to believe in souls or afterlives, those are obviously made-up myths and fables.
2021-04-18 8:26 am
I don't have a belief, that is too strong of a word. I wonder about it though. Does all our accumulated knowledge, accomplishments, experiences all turn to dust in the wind or does consciousness move on to somewhere else? I think it is an interesting question that too many are willing to exploit the anxiety around finding the answer.

It seems you stay in your coffin. Or are in the air for a while and are ash, if you're burnt

There are reports of some people returning after death ; or meeting relatives etc., when one's close to death

Strange things can happen when one's alive ; so who knows about death

Some cases of poltergeists seem convincing : a force that is invisible to us. Perhaps that force can enter a living body ; and remain active outside the dead body. The body not being exclusively ONE either ; but having many different features
2021-04-18 1:07 pm
Nothing happens to the dead; they are dead and that is the end of that life,  Anything else is pure nonsense.  The dead body that is buried will decompose or in the case of cremation the ashes will remain in a container until water enters and the ashes will be gone.  The dead do not return to life and a small pile of ashes will not rise up as a living person.

No religious cults have any truth, especially cults like the jehovah's witnesses.

The people who died and came back speak of either heaven or hell
2021-04-18 3:51 am
Why did Jesus speak of death as a sleep?

Because a sleeping person is inactive. During deep sleep there is no consciousness of surroundings or the passing of time. There is no pain or suffering.
Similarly, in death there is no activity or activity or consciousness. But the comparison goes further with sleep.
With sleep, one expects to wake up. And that is exactly the hope that the Bible offers for the dead.
This would be the resurrection that Jesus spoke about.
Jesus’ early disciples clearly understood the true condition of the dead. To the followers of Jesus death was a sleep, and the grave a resting-place.

You are either judged and found lacking and sent to hell or your not judged because righteousness has been credited to your account by Jesus Christ. Read John ch 3
2021-04-20 8:29 am
The Lord Jesus Christ is God, and He loves you.  Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ means being forgiven all sins past and future, and means going to heaven and not hell.  Death leads to immediate heaven or hell, and it is too late to be saved, after death.  All believers still sin.  See 1 John 1:8.  To be in heaven and not hell, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is God and who died on the cross and shed His blood to pay for all of our sins in full, and who was buried, and who resurrected from the dead.  The only way to avoid hell is by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, without adding any of your own works.  See Romans 4:5, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, and John 3:16.

Death
Definition: The ceasing of all functions of life. After breathing, heartbeat, and brain activity stop, the life-force gradually ceases to function in body cells. Death is the opposite of life.
(Genesis 3:19) In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”
(Psalm 104:29) When you hide your face, they are disturbed. If you take away their spirit, they die and return to the dust.
(Ecclesiastes 3:20) All are going to the same place. They all come from the dust, and they all are returning to the dust.
(Ecclesiastes 12:7) Then the dust returns to the earth, just as it was, and the spirit returns to the true God who gave it.
Where are the dead?
Gen. 3:19: “In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”
Eccl. 9:10: “All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol [“the grave,” KJ, Kx; “the world of the dead,” TEV], the place to which you are going.”
What does the Bible say the penalty for sin is?
Rom. 6:23: “The wages sin pays is death.”
After one’s death, is he still subject to further punishment for his sins?
Rom. 6:7: “He who has died has been acquitted from his sin.”

What is the condition of the dead?
Eccl. 9:5: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.”
Ps. 146:4: “His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts [“thoughts,” KJ, 145:4 in Dy; “all his thinking,” NE; “plans,” RS, NAB] do perish.”
John 11:11-14: “‘Lazarus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.’ . . . Jesus said to them outspokenly: ‘Lazarus has died.’” (Also Psalm 13: 3 Look upon me and answer me, O Jehovah my God.
Give light to my eyes, so that I may not fall asleep in death,)
(Genesis 2:7) And Jehovah God went on to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living person.
(Job 27:3) As long as my breath is within me And spirit from God is in my nostrils,
(Job 34:14, 15) If he fixes his attention on them, If he gathers their spirit and breath to himself, 15 All humans would perish together, And mankind would return to the dust.
(Isaiah 42:5) This is what the true God, Jehovah, says, The Creator of the heavens and the Grand One who stretched them out, The One who spread out the earth and its produce, The One who gives breath to the people on it And spirit to those who walk on it:

The human soul leaves the body immediately upon death then instantly appears before the LORD GOD to be judged if passing into Heaven with HIM or descend into Hell to spend eternity being tortured by the Devil.

Non-believer idiot atheists who believe the universe created itself will be members of the latter.

I don’t worry about things I cannot control or do not have knowledge of. Isn’t it better to just enjoy life truly, then to consider the possibilities after?

BELIEF  a  PERSON'S   conviction  of a claim , proposition or allegation  to " BE the CASE  "..... actual .... the issue  "WHAT"  evidence , argument  FACTS  , demonstration  test ability   is the foundation  of forming that BELIEF  ( CONVICTION ) ...... what i VALUE and hold as a STANDARD  is what is DEMONSTRABLE...i have a reasonable  acceptance  .. i accept the DEFINITION of DEATH  the PERMANENT  cessation  of all biological  functions  that SUSTAIN a LIVING  organism

The formation of BELIEF is by two SOURCES  per human studies   presented in "Changing Minds "  our own  experiences and reflection  or as BLIND ACCEPTANCE  of what OTHER PEOPLE ( key  word)  TELL us . these are very different METHODS and are often  based on very different  PREFERENCES  and Attitudes  to the world and PEOPLE around us

SELF GENERATED:   1- EXPERIENCE   ( no one answering is DEAD  )
2- EXPERIMENT  ( no NEAR death  testing has demonstrated any " spirit "/ soul   )
3- REFLECTION ( internal thought  general musing and building internal mental  models that help to explain the world
4- GENERALIZATION  the result  of  experience and  experiment  to ASSUME we have discovered  in ONE CONTEXT  is EQUALLY  applicable elsewhere  Example a child finds  the behavior of NAGGING a parent  is successful  they create a GENERALIZED BELIEF its a way to get what they want in General situations ..... the PROBLEM   or error what is TRUE in SITUATION A  is NOT true in Situation B
EXTERNALLY  GENERATED BELIEFS     1- EXPERTS  " PEOPLE " who have Proven themselves  to have KNOWLEDGE  in particular areas  they have qualifications and demonstrated their skills , often professionals  such people  who use experts  are  relatively pragmatic  they "trust " but NOT BLINDLY
2-  AUTHORITY  The  difference  between an expert and  authority  , is that people  BELIEVE the AUTHORITY ....because of their  POSITION  in society  or CHARISMATIC powers ..and not because  of any REASONABLE  PROOF  that they KNOW  what they are talking about
MANGERS  PRIEST and PARENTS all other Beliefs  based on position  rather than their  expertise   PEOPLE  who are ' believe "  AUTHORITIES are followers  they BELIEVE in the SANCTITY   of POSITION  and a Strong need for BELONGING  and SOCIAL  approval
3- CANONS is a "unchallenged"  set or asserted 'truths"  as set out by literature  from religious  text  to papers When you are seeking to CHANGE ( yours   or others) BELIEFS  find out WHERE  one self or others  GOT the beliefs  from

The body either decomposes or is somehow destroyed.  The soul goes either to heaven or hell.  And it's instantaneous, no pit stops in purgatory or anywhere else.
2021-04-19 6:43 pm
Let's forget human opinion and focus on God's Word:
Our souls are eternal, our spiritual choices are eternal---be it for, or against God. The righteous will enjoy everlasting life and the wicked, everlasting torture. Now, Choose LIFE! [Deuteronomy 30:19]

[Psalm 9:17] The wicked will return to Sheol, even all the nations who forget God.
Here 'sheol' signifies the place of torment, commonly called Hell, where devils and damned spirits are; so too the souls of the wicked, immediately upon their departure from their bodies [Luke 16:23-24; 23:43]; [Acts 7:56-59]

[Proverbs 15:24] The way of life winds upward for the wise, that he may turn away from Hell below.
___________
antonius, you have absolutely no evidence for what you believe. Why do you always act out of spite? Does it make you feel better or less bad? What would you equate to righteousness regarding evil? Should not evil endure the punishment it deserves, despite the multiple warnings and a way to escape Jesus’ wrath for which He paid with His own blood?

If God spared not the angels that sinned, unbelievers must know what awaits them [2 Peter 2:4].

I believe what the Bible says about that. At death the body begins to decay and has to be disposed of, but then "the spirit returns to God who gave it", for judgment (still a future event). The invisible, spiritual part of the person finds itself in one of two places, as Jesus explained in Luke 16:19-31. Then will come the Day of Resurrection and Judgment when Christ raises up a new body for every single person who has died, so that they can stand for Judgment. Read about that in Revelation 20:11-15, see also Ecclesiastes. ch. 12.

The resurrection of all the dead, with new resurrection bodies that will 'clothe' the departed souls/spirits of the dead is guaranteed in that the crucified Christ was resurrected with His special body. Read 1 Corinthians ch. 15 for all of that and more. It's all explained in the Bible, and that's what I believe - the Bible.

I went into cardiac arrest once, about a year ago and I saw a garden full of flowers of every color. I saw children playing in the garden. I looked over and saw Jesus (I recognized him) he had a serious look on his face, but was loving. He was definitely angry that I was dying as it wasn't my time.
While I was in the car being rushed over to the hospital I kept fading in and out of consciousness. I would see flashes of light and flowers everywhere. There were colors that I've never seen before. Everytime, I think of the place that Jesus protected me at I cry.
When I got to the hospital I went unconscious went into cardiac arrest and eventually into a coma. My final act was an act of faithlessness, so the garden was replaced with fire. I didn't feel the fire. I only witnessed what was happening to people in Hell. I saw a white guy who shot himself in the head.
Eventually, after three days in a coma I woke up. I then went back and forth into sleep and being awake for 2 more days.
I know what happens to us when we die. Either you go to heaven or hell.
2021-04-18 4:10 am
Much happens after your flesh body dies.
Only your flesh body dies, your soul does not.
The first thing that happens is your soul will leave your flesh body and you will be in your Spiritual body, then you return to God.

2 Corinthians 5:8 “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

Ecclesiastes 12:7 "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”
2021-04-18 5:09 am
The body decomposes and returns to the dust.
If a person is born again, that is they've trusted in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, their spirit will immediately go to heaven after death. If a person has rejected Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, their soul will go to hell. It's that simple. Just read John 3:16-18. Then watch this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvOnvIKZ5u4.
2021-04-18 7:26 am
We think there are three places a person could go at death: heaven if you’re good, hell if you’re bad and purgatory not clear on that. I never saw any of that in the Bible.

THE SCRIPTURES STATES: “The living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten. Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave, where you are going.” *—Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10.
2021-04-18 4:59 am
The body decomposes unless it was cremated. The soul or unconsciousness is in a sleep state until it will be reunited with the physical state during resurrection at the afterlife or The Second Coming.

I believe that all those who are dead did not go to heaven or hell. The Bible states that the dead know only their grave.

Please, look up this information. I think it will help you determine what to believe. The Spanish Requirement, the divine right of kings (which includes queens). Sanat Kumara and the great white brotherhood. Sanat is just another way to spell satan or santa. But this is where racism and christianity come from. It's ridiculous. Also, look up the Bock saga and pagan mythologies( Video on youtube by Robert Sepehr). It explains where the christian belief comes from.

I believe what the Bible says about it....
The Bible says: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5; Psalm 146:4) Therefore, when we die, we cease to exist. The dead can’t think, act, or feel anything.
God explained what happens when we die when he spoke to the first man, Adam. Because Adam was disobedient, God said to him: “Dust you are and to dust you will return.” (Genesis 3:19).
Before God created Adam “out of dust from the ground,” Adam did not exist. (Genesis 2:7) Likewise, when Adam died, he returned to dust and ceased to exist.
The same thing happens to those who die now. Speaking of both humans and animals, the Bible says: “They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust.”—Ecclesiastes 3:19, 20.
Death is not necessarily the end of the end of everything. What will be?
More information about it you can find in the website jw.org

I believe our souls leave our bodies straight after we die and either goes to Heaven or Hell.
2021-04-19 10:08 pm
those who accepted Jesus as their Savior would go to heaven. (not just after death, but when Jesus returns again)

The Bible is the written word of God. There is one God, existent in three persons : Father, Son & the Holy Spirit. Father created the world. Because humans sinned, Father sent his Son (Jesus) for our salvation. Jesus bore our sins & died on the cross. Jesus sacrificed his life for you, for me & everyone in this world. Jesus took our sins but the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance & faith in the precious Blood of Jesus. And try not to sin anymore. After the death of Jesus, he resurrected & went to heaven. Before his death, Jesus had already told that- after he goes into heaven he would send a helper (The Holy Spirit) for us. So we have to believe in The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit for our salvation.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. (John 3: 16,17) Jesus Christ is the way, the truth & the life. No one goes to the Father except through Jesus. ( John 14:6) Believe in the Lord Jesus & you will be saved, you & your household. (Acts 16: 31) Everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name. (Acts 10:43) Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3: 36) For there is one God & there is one mediator between God & men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all (1 Timothy 2: 5,6 ) Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3:3)

Judgment.

You will be called to account for every careless word you speak.

God's desire to show us mercy cannot override the need for justice to be done.

If you show contempt for God's grace and scorn the gift of eternal life, there is no sacrifice left for you.

Please listen carefully (your life is at stake):

By law, if a guilty party who is sentenced to death, refuses a pardon by an authority willing to give it; the court has no power to force the pardon on the person.

That’s why people must LET God forgive them.

God provided an atoning sacrifice: and He suffered greatly to give it.
Can you imagine sacrificing your own innocent child so some criminal could walk away scott free?
If they don’t take the offer, that means Jesus was tortured in their place for nothing, and the Lord has no recourse to help them.

If my Lord, whom I serve and adore, was brutally murdered in their place - and they CHOOSE to reject this gift - they will deserve what they get. No one will be complaining about how unfair it is.

PS. If you are triggered by this message, let me assure you I don't care about your emotional state, but I do (very much) care about your soul. It is my sacred responsibility to try and save you from the coming wrath of God.

the body decomposes and rots put simply or is burned
2021-04-19 5:28 am
NO ONE IS GOING TO NEED TO SAY ANYTHING TO GOD, GOD SAYS WHEN WE DIE WE WILL KNOW AS WE HAVE BEEN KNOWN AND WE WILL NOT OPPOSE HIS JUDGMENT WHATEVER IT WILL BE, BECAUSE WE WILL KNOW IT IS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH WITHOUT A DOUBT AND WE WILL KNOW INSTANTLY WHAT WE GET IS WHAT WE DESERVE, ACCORDING TO OUR FREE WILL! SO IF YOU HAVE HUMBLED YOURSELF BEFORE DEATH AND ASKED FOR FORGIVENESS FROM OUR LORD JESUS, YOU WILL BE WITH HIM FOREVER IN HEAVEN. BUT IF YOU ARE TOO PROUD AND LOVE YOUR SINS MORE THAN GOD WHEN YOU DIE WITHOUT ASKING FOR FORGIVENESS, THEN YOU HAVE CHOSEN YOUR OWN FATE, THE SECOND DEATH HELL.

2021-04-19 1:27 am
When a horse dies, a plant dies or a human dies they cease to exist.  The physical remains eventually mix with the earth.  There is nothing left.  I know it can be unsettling, but do not use supernatural notions to calm yourself.  Its gonna be okay.
2021-04-18 2:08 pm
When we die, we are dead. Just as if we are in a deep sleep. Even Jesus described death that way. At Luke 8:52 and 53 he said this about a little girl who died right before he resurrected her. “...So he said: “Stop weeping, for she did not die but is sleeping.”53 At this they began to laugh at him scornfully, because they knew she had died.

When God created humans, he never intended on us having to experience death. We were supposed to live forever on the earth. But because Adam and Eve sinned that temporarily changed things for mankind. Jesus took on the responsibility of exchanging his life for everyone else’s so that things can go back to the way God intended. Check out the brief article linked below. It will help you find more information to answer  your question and you can use your personal copy of the Bible so you can see for yourself that the answers are there.

We are gathered to our loved ones in Paradise and there we shall be instructed and perfected and in all ways made ready for the resurrections and final judgment.  Some of us just need a tour through hell first to be purified of our sins.

There is a world between this one and the next known as the "barzakh" which we will go to until Judgement before we either receive our place in Jannah or our place in the Hellfire.

Upon dying, as Our Lady of Fatima has told us, most people go to purgatory, the second-most go to hell and very few go directly to heaven.  Mary has told us as well the average person who goes to purgatory spends three to four decades there, and she has told us more people go to hell due to sins of the flesh than for any other reason.
