Why do some on here give more credence to conspiracy theories than reality?

Because they're sick.  Look at the crazies refusing to get the covid vaccination because it would "change" their RNA.

Covid is NOT going away until everyone has either had it or has been vaccinated.
That's how we got rid of small pox and other contagious diseases.

So many conspiracy theories are true.  Your "reality" isn't reality if you're just trusting media.

Well the government has already done stuff like MK Ultra. What else are they hiding from us?

The reason people are religious is because of profound innate gullibility, the very same reason that they embrace conspiracy theories..

they're living in a world of their own

Probably the convenience of being ignorant.

It's easier to believe in world-wide conspiracies going back centuries than the dull reality and duller knowledge that no such things exist. It['s also exciting and fills a need to be important in someone's life.

Because sometimes evil is in the world, I could go on and on but be labeled as a conspiracy theory nut so all I'd say is Jimmy Savile. Oh also yes I have to admit that "conspiracy theory" is much more like entertainment however sometimes it is just plain sick, I'd suggest people to do you own research. Please check this out
Haut de la Garenne, a police officer got fired for doing his job and he wrote a book about everything stating that Children in these homes have been raped consistently by politicians/VIP's. Here's a statue in Jersey where all this has happened, I would upload the pictures I taken when I was there but I suppose they will get removed as they are statues of little boys aged 4-11 sucking ****.

gullibility where religion is concerned; stupid where politics is concerned.

Sometimes the long-shot has the better payoff in the end.

Since what we term out as 'true' has to be based upon our sensual perceptions.
Now that we all know that our sensual perceptions have been known to deceive us therefore we have and must come up with.
Things like 'perfection, love, truth etc' we all know that these 'conceptions' exists but we just cannot fully explain them in a meaningful way!
Thus a true religion has to be based upon such virtues that we know that they exist and they would expand upon them!

Because they reflect the general population!

Research shows that those people who rate highly on the narcissism scale and who have low self-esteem tend to be conspiracy believers. People who doubt the moon landings or are flat Earther’s are most likely to be selfish and attention-seeking

Some people think that if they believe something, that makes it true. They only believe what appeals to them whether it’s actually true or not.

Propping up imaginary enemies takes the focus off your own faults for a while.

And for the same reason some people have OCD. They think if they can control their space their "world" is in control. A conspiracy theorist thinks if they know enough about hidden conspiracies, it makes the world makes sense. They are in control. No one else is controlling them.

The truth isn't hard to find if you really want to look for it: follow the money trail to the evil... it will lead you to the pharmaceutical industry, goverments, major religions, and big corporations.

PS. God hates religion.

Just to be hateful is another one I guess.
