Are plans in place from Ottawa for Canada, as a dominion of the British Commonwealth, to come to a standstill for the funeral on Saturday ?

The whole damn province is already shut down until way past Saturday for the Brazilian Strain of Covid.  No further plans required.

No 'plans' needed, as it's not like there could be any official requirement to stop and watch the coverage.

Canada is not a dominion, it is an independent country. Ask the UN.

Probably not, although a lot of people will be interested in it, and likely be watching on TV (if it is covered there).  Many in Canada had a fondness for Philip, although likely a lot more do not care one way, or another.

Also, the Commonwealth has not been "British" for quite some time, and most of it's countries at republics.  All but 16 of the 64 in fact.
