My best friend mother suddenly passed away
My friend has a large extended family.
When someone passes
I sometimes struggle with how much or how little support I should be offering during theses sad times.
She calls me every day and we talk and I went to visit my friend and I gave her some money and cooked her a meal.
Any advise on what else I can do to show my suppor?

You are already doing all you can. But stop giving her money. And one meal is enough. She HAS a large family. Continue to talk with her when she calls and reassure her that she can call anytime.

Ask her what she needs and let her tell you what would help.
