If we take the guns away from legal gun owners and then defund the police, what could possibly go wrong?

We don’t want to take guns away from RESPONSIBLE gun owners.   

No one is taking guns away. Defunding means defunding unnecessary programs. 

Duh!  Only the criminals would have guns.

Crime increased in the cities that have defunded police: Portland, Minneapolis. 

Robert Aaron Long was a legal gun owner for about 24 hours till he murdered 8 in Atlanta. Your a legal gun owner till your not 

Things have already gone pretty wrong IMO.   Pretty sure having less police officers isn't a logical fix though.

Just last weekend some idiot snuck onto my property and started shooting just for the fun of it as far as I can tell.   He was about 30 yards from my horse and 50 yards from my wife in the driveway.    I found 23 9 mm shell casings.    I don't give a rat's *** if he bought his guns legally.   He belongs in jail.   And there are idiots like this EVERYWHERE.

I'm ok with responsible gun owners, but if they do something stupid or illegal or unsafe...they need to be locked up.   We do not have enough consequences for these people and unfortunately, dying/life in prison is not a deterrent to the nut jobs.
