VLC Media Player – Video disappears after edit but audio remains?

I’m using Windows 7 on a DELL PC.


I trim video clips with VLC by using the red record button.

The video is trimmed nicely at the desired ponts.

However the audio is maintained in the edited version but the video is gone.

Why is this happening?
Any suggestions; alternatives?
