if police officer going to join duty from his home and on the way something happen with him. then he is line of duty or not line of duty?

Even if "off duty". If a police officer takes action to prevent or stop a crime. He is considered "on duty" and it is LOD.

He is on duty,. also if a police officer is on a day off and gets involved in a police matter than he's automatically back on duty.

if hes going to work, then its not in the line of duty, if he is going direct to the scene, then it is in the line of duty
