UPS delayed one day delivery?

I have an important package that is supposed to be delivered to me today by 7pm. Time goes by and my package has never came! Extremely upset at UPS and the company. I was told that my package would come tomorrow instead only to find out a few hours later I received a message saying it was delayed by ANOTHER DAY. Any clue why this would happen?

Delivery is ONLY estimated. It is never guaranteed. More packages than initially that need delivering, slower traffic - ill employees so fewer to sort...
