How are AR-15s a weapon of war according to Biden when military's don't even use AR-15s?

Because you are an idiot, you don’t know how stupid your question is. The AR-15 was and is a military weapon. It was first manufactured in the 1950s for the US military. In the 60s Colt bought the rights to the design and got a contract to supply the military with the rifle. Guess what it was called by Colt then? The M16. You moron. The version being sold today as the AR-15 is easily converted to fully automatic with a few minor alterations. I support the right to gun ownership. But not for idiots who don’t respect or know what that right entails.

I mean, not that I agree with banning firearms including the AR-15 but it's easy to see it's based on weapons of war and easily out performs lots of older firearms that were used in wars.

It is a weapon of war.  It is based on a weapon made specifically for jet fighter pilots in the 1960s.   I don't agree with making it illegal, but just don't lie about that.  It only helps them.

The military has a gun called an M-16 that is similar.  Do you want to shoot someone My clone? You would do better to buy a cheap revolver and get rid of it when it becomes evidence. The AR-15 has become known as America's gun. Democrats who hate America want it eliminated.

The AR-15 is the civilian version of the M-16. There are differences, and unless one can get the parts and knows what they are doing, parts that are controlled by the way. The ar can't be converted to do what it's military counterpart can. It's an easy target is what it boils down to.  You can see by the way people talk about it that most have no idea what weapons actual are used in the vast majority of crimes.
