Why is yahoo answers closing down ?

TOO MANY STUPID QUESTIONS!

From what i read online they seem to think this site isn't useful anymore and that the needs of their members have changed. Personally i think the ones who only get on here to start drama or to be mean to everyone else and be a bully i think they're some of the reason why this site is being shut down unfortunately. Im sure they dont see it as productive or helpful when there are mean and nasty people doing the things they do. That's just what i think.

I've been on yahoo answers off and on for years and these days its not what it once was.  I think its a cost/profit thing.

Because it's become a mental institution, jez.

The site is probably losing lots of money.  Money is usually the reason why things are either DONE or NOT DONE.

Like everything else,it's all about money.There is no corporate profit to be made here.

I think it's unfair. Sure, there are many trolls and people who ask stupid questions, but it has always been this way. Still, Verizon never intervened to solve these issues.

Hopefully we'll get an improved version of Y/A in the next months or years.

They will dream up something else.
