What do you do when hear neighbors or people yelling and arguing with each other?

Do you call the police and let them handle it? Or just tell the neighbors yourself and say “Can you guys please shut the hell up”?? What do you do when hear people fighting and arguing?

Yelling between 10 pm and 8 am, may be a noise ordinance violation, Cops on the NON-911 line.Yelling between 8 am and 959 pm Live with it. UNLESS you hear gun shots, smashing, or Shrieking. Call 911.

There is about 30 feet between my house and the house above me, and about 50 feet between my neighbors below me. If I do hear something through 2 brick walls it would probably involve gunfire.

I guess it would depend how loudly they are arguing. If it just sounds like silly fights I'd probably try and chat to them about it myself if I had a good relationship with them. But domestic violence can lead to people being killed. I would call the police if it was really bad.
