It has already cost them viewers, and it will even cost them more.

I never watch it myself. But rest assured I have good reason to NEVER watch it.

Most Americans support the equality platform BLM derives from. Obviously, people on the 'black lives don't matter to me' team have racists as their team mates and they will object to various degrees w/ anything that threatens their white supremacy.
The popularity of professional sports will continue w/ or without you. The equality platform will get more popular in time.

There are good cops. But that doesn’t negate the fact that there are far too many bad ones.Why would it cost them viewers? It’s very popular for people who are not black to identify with blacks and embrace black culture, music, sports, etc. these days. A lot of white people feel guilty about being white. That’s just the way it is. Personally I would rather see the slogan “all lives matter”. I think that’s more objective and fair. Because there are people who are not black who have also been the victims of abuse at the hands of police and so on. I know I certainly have. Although I also obviously have not yet been killed by the police. But I was pretty brutally treated by a black state trooper at one point in my life and have also been pretty well abused by small town (the worst, IMO) white police officers over the years as well. Just haven’t been killed yet.

But there’s not much you can really do about the human tendency to jump on the bandwagon when it comes to these cultural trends. A lot of people in this country do not think for themselves. The “sheeple” phenomenon. They are too hung up on being politically correct and so on. 

Having said all that, some black people have a lot more going for them than some white people. Like those mostly black people who were trying to stop the cops from choking George Floyd to death that day. They had their hearts in the right places. Nobody can deny that. It’s always best to search for the humanity beneath the skin pigmentation and avoid “profiling”. 

George Floyd may not have been the most wonderful human being in the world. But how many of us are? And he was a human being. And he shouldn’t have died that way. And he had children. 

And as a father who is far from perfect but who brought a child into this world and knows what would happen to my child if I were to be killed like that, I know what those children must have gone through as well as those family members sitting in the courtroom today watching those videos of him being tortured like that and reliving that pain all over again. The guy was a human being. 

And if George Floyd became a martyr due to the inhumanity of those cops and the incident launched a movement called “Black Lives Matter”,well, I guess it was a long time coming wasn’t it? I guess it doesn’t really matter what you call the movement in the final analysis. It had to happen because something needs to be done about many members of the law enforcement community in this country. They have gotten away with far too much for way too long. 

Since BLM is a terrorist group that has murdered white cops in Dallas, murdered white women in Indiana for saying everyone's life matters and has instigated riots, looting, assault and murder across the country with the endorsement of Democrats, then yes, they shouldn't be rewarded.
