Not unless they have a pet supply store and you spend your day selling stuff like collars, leashes, bowls, crates, etc.
No. Dogs aren't a commodity, aren't merchandise. I'd find another profession - I've read your other questions.
"Retail" normally refers to a job in which you sell merchandise. Most of the time that means running a cash register and/or stock shelves. The Human Society would not be considered "retail.' Working there would be considered a "service" job. That is a job where you take care of someone or something.
You may want to check with your Humane Society before you decide that is what you want to do after graduation. Most Humane Societies do not have paid positions (or if they do they are minimum wage or less), instead as a non-profit organization, most of their workers are unpaid volunteers.
No, as a rule you are not selling merchandise. Adopting out or taking in surrendered pets, doing pet counseling, and the CLEANING and FEEDING of said animals, is not working retail. (It might - at best...be considered a form of social work.)
Retail is working at a store that sells products - like shoes, bedding, clothing. etc. BTW, there are very few PAID position at Humane societies; most staff are trained volunteers.
No, not unless you work exclusively in a store in the building that sells pet food and supplies.
No it is not retail. Nor is it wholesale. Most of it is volunteer work. You can volunteer on your days off from another job if you want to work with them.
