Am I overthinking this ?

So a friend of mine went through an experience with another friend of hers that violated her trust and put her in a stressful situation. It's been months now and she still tells me she can't hangout with me anymore because she's afraid of men but tells me she knows I'm not like that. So I guess I'm confused in a sense and a little hurt. What do I take from this?

Just tell her you respect that she needs some time, recommend she get into some therapy and just don't call her for a while. Some people have just gone nuts believing all men are violent rapists. You don't need that kind of person in your life.

Give her more time and space, she will let you know when she feels comfortable. If you are a close friend you could suggest counseling, it was not her fault.
