Considering that Texas still has one of the highest rates of new infections, isn't the decision to remove preventive measures questionable?

Isn't it likely that there will be more 'encounters' of 'non-masker vs masker' in mask-obligatory private property?

So basically you're saying the measures didn't work very well and that's why they should be kept.

I live in Texas

The decision to remove restrictions was recent and I'm not sure has even gone into effect yet.  Covid has an incubation of 2-14 days which means no one has been diagnosed with the virus with restrictions removed.

No, what matters is the number of people hospitalized. Anyone can get covid, even people that have had both vaccines. For the young and healthy or those with the shots it's like a flu that will pass. Unless people are hospitalized it's not serious. And people need to get back to work.

Yes, very foolish. The guv just wants people to vote for him next time since he blew the fiasco with the grid.  And per your update, that is just sad but yes, it will happen
