Money from 1979 sent back? Why did this happen under Obama and not a previous President prior to that? Seems strange that Obama would give a known enemy money that they used to supply Iranian friendly militia.

It doesn’t look like you understand why the money was returned to them in the first place. The USA actually gave money away to Germany and Japan after WW2. Sworn enemies.

Nope. Their money that we had frozen has been returned per the tribunal judgement we agreed to. There is no more to release.
