“No man has ascended into heaven but he that descended from heaven, the Son of man”? John 3:13

When Jesus spoke to Nicodemus, a Pharisee and a teacher in Israel, Jesus had not yet gone back to heaven. Of course, no other human had died and ascended to the spirit realm, to heaven.

And the apostle Peter explained that even faithful King David had died and was still in his tomb; David did not ascend into heaven. Acts 2:29, 34

There was a reason why those who died before Jesus, such as David, John the Baptist, and other men of faith, did not go to heaven. They died before Jesus inaugurated the way or possibility for humans to be resurrected to heavenly life.

Who will be included in the group that Paul called “the unrighteous”? They are the billions of humans who have lived and died, many without ever having an opportunity to understand and apply Bible truth. After their resurrection, they will be able to come to know and appreciate Jehovah and Jesus. John 17:3

Paul said that Jesus was “the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep in death.” In what sense was Jesus first? He was the first person to be raised to life as a spirit being and the first one from mankind to ascend to heaven. 1 Cor. 15:20; Acts 26:23

King James Version Bible 1885

Revelation Chapter 20

11. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Daniel Chapter 12

2. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame [and] everlasting contempt.

If you have lived your life according to the will of God while here on Earth, yes.

You go straight into the ground (Hell).

For the believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Bible makes it clear that absent from the body is present with the Lord.  The Lord is in heaven.   Here is what you need to believe:  The Lord Jesus Christ is God, and He loves you.  Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ means being forgiven all sins past and future, and means going to heaven and not hell.  Death leads to immediate heaven or hell, and it is too late to be saved, after death.  To be in heaven and not hell, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is God and who died on the cross and shed His blood to pay for all of our sins in full, and who was buried, and who resurrected from the dead.  The only way to avoid hell is by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, without adding any of your own works.  See Romans 4:5, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, and John 3:16.

If 2 Esdras 7 is right, I think we do, no matter what you believe. Believers and non-believers are not the same though.
78 “Now a word about death: When the final sentence goes forth from the Most High that a person should die, when the spirit recedes from the body so that it may be sent again to him who gave it, the first thing is to stand in awe before the glory of the Most High. 79 If the spirit belonged to one of those who showed contempt and didn’t keep the Most High’s way, if it was one of those who despised his Law and who hates those who fear God, 80 these spirits don’t go into their dwellings but will immediately wander about in torments. They will constantly grieve and be sorrowful for seven reasons:[g]
81 The first reason—because they . . . etc.

The Truth about Hell and the State of the Dead

It is a popular but fundamental misunderstanding of hell and the state of the dead to think that God tortures people for eternity. And it is a heinous teaching that turns many people away from God in disgust. The true state of the dead is that it is an unconscious sleep (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10; Psalm 146;4; Job 14:12,21; John 11:11 and many other passages explain this very thing). And the one English word "hell" is used to translate three original Hebrew and Greek concepts. Sheol/Hades is simply the grave -- this is the hell that Jesus descended into for three days and nights (Ephesians 4:9, 10). The second concept is the Abyss where Satan and the evil angels WILL be kept after Christ comes again, during the thousand years Christ and the righteous humans spend in heaven together (Revelation 20:1-3) --- this is called Tartaru in Greek, and is simply the earth torn up (formless) from great earthquakes and void of human life, which happens at Christ's second coming ( all the wicked humans are struck dead by the breath of His mouth -- or at His word -- Revelation 19:11-21). The third and final hell (Gehenna in the Greek) is spoken of as a "lake" of fire, which is really the whole earth engulfed in flames that come from beneath and rain from the sky --- this is where the wicked humans and angels will be finally consumed away into nothing and cease to exist (Revelation 20:9, 10). Because John 5:28, 29 tell us of two resurrections – one for the righteous, before the millennium, and one for the wicked after the millennium. And then even death and hell have an end (Revelation 20:14), in that final lake of fire, because all wicked beings will meet oblivion there. And never shall wickedness rear it’s ugly head again (Nahum 1:9).

It is euphemistically described as eternal torment in Revelation 20:10, but really what this is is simply that they will be forever cut off from God and existence. It is eternal punishment, not eternal punishing. Even death and hell shall have an end (Revelation 20:14). The fate of evil angels and men is simply to be burned up and away (Ezekiel 28:18 and Malachi 4:3). Jude 7 also describes to us the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah, as being burned up by eternal fire --- but they are not still burning today. The fire lasts only until what it feeds off of is consumed and then it goes out. It is the effect of the fire that is eternal, not the fire itself.

So when we die, we are in an unconscious state until either the first or second resurrections (John 5:28, 29; Revelation 20:5, 6).

I did when I was suctioned up faster than a vacuum cleaner in my dream!

"Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the (((FIRST RESURRECTION:))) [When resurrected from our "DEAD spirits" Romans 5:12-14; I Corinthians 15:21-22; "in this life" I Corinthians 15:19] on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years" (Revelation 20:6).

"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed" (I Corinthians 15:51-52).

Those who are born again through Jesus Christ the Saviour do.  Everyone who is an unbeliever or has no relationship with God through His Son, will be judged and sent to the Lake of Fire for eternal torment.

That's why Jesus Christ died for us on the cross of Calvary, in order to PREVENT THAT FROM HAPPENING TO ANYONE, because it's not God's will that anyone perish but that ALL should come to repentance.

But we are all given a free will to either choose God or the Devil.  There are only two kingdoms in this world.  If you are not in God's kingdom and on the narrow way to eternal life with Him for eternity, then you are in Satan's kingdom of darkness - on the BROAD WAY TO DESTRUCTION (Matthew 7:13 & 14) and Hell's fire and torment will be your eternal destiny.

Only you yourself can CHANGE your destiny.

If you turn to Jesus Christ the only Saviour, then God will deliver you OUT OF Satan's kingdom of darkness and translate you INTO the kingdom of the Son of His love. (Colossians 1:13), and take you OFF the broad and wide road to DESTRUCTION and plant you onto the NARROW, DIFFICULT way to eternal life in heaven with Him.

The choice is entirely ours.

God won't force you either way.  Seek the Lord while He may be found and call upon Him while He is near, because nobody knows how much time we have left.  Soe folks will die of old age some from disease, some from accidents, but we will all die and it's important that you worship God through Jesus Christ whilst you still live in this world.

It's too late after you are dead.  Then your destiny is already set for Hell

Don't forget, there is no other Saviour, for there is no other name under heaven, given amongst men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12.  It's Jesus Christ - the One who died for us all that our sins could be forgiven and we could receive eternal life with Him, in heaven

either that or hell.............

Probably not......

No, we go to Paradise to be perfected and await the resurrections and final judgment.  Heaven comes only after the final judgment.
2021-02-20 6:43 am
there are only two ways in our lives, left and right, up and down, light and dark, truth or lies, forward or backwards, also heaven or hell! no, you wont just go to heaven or hell, the explains giving a personal account before entering eternity! its like a school or military exam, you have to testify on behalf your choices and faith you had in God or not, God is just, so he will not just send you to heaven or hell, he personally wants to fully justify you going to heaven or hell God bless all
2021-02-20 6:45 am
No, you go straight to God to be judged. Heaven will depend on the judgement.
2021-02-20 6:40 am
No. First of all, there are infinite number of realms
which can be considered heaven. 2) Most people are still
trapped in the psychic-band (or Matrix) surrounding Earth.
