Why do we All have weird dreams?

Dreams reflect our Life experiences.  I don't know about you but I have had plenty of weird or strange things happen in my lifetime.   Lucky I don't seem to be good at dream recall.  Maybe they're weird, you think? 

I literally had a dream of owning a giant caterpillar as a pet last night.

I don't know why we have them, we just do.
